shouldn't the name of this article be LittleBigPlanet (PlayStation Portable)? ESTEMSHORNtalkSign 02:08, 27 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

WP:NAME states that articles should be easily recognisable and easy to find. As all video game websites and magazines, and even Sony themselves, are referring to it as LitlleBigPlanet PSP that is the most recognisable name for it and the one most likely to be searched for. Redirects can be set up for any alternatives. - X201 (talk) 08:34, 28 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
The biggest video game websites and retailers I have visited refer to the game by its proper name. This includes GameSpot, GameStop, IGN, and Best Buy. --Kamasutra (talk) 07:58, 3 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
But the publishers call it LittleBigPlanet PSP or LittleBigPlanet (PSP) ([1], [2]) - that seems to be it's actual name - so that's what we should use. Chimpanzee - User | Talk | Contribs 08:56, 3 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
It probably should be the name to avoid ambiguity. I don't know whether the reason for the discrepancy is miscommunication, using the expected name at the time, or intentional disambiguity, but I'm basing my conclusion on the majority of reliable sources (most notably the box art). There was a similar problem with Gran Turismo. As you can see from your second link, the interview is tied to the official game page on that site with the proper title.[3] And here is the official game page on the US site, where it is denoted with parentheses like the current title of this article; not that it matters, but I assume that means it isn't actually part of the title. --Kamasutra (talk) 11:30, 3 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
This is the same game... a port. I think the better question is, shouldn't the article be merged? 156.12.219.88 (talk) 04:52, 11 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
No, because it's big enough to deserves its own article. Also, the official name of the game is LittleBigPlanet. Most people (including sony) refer to it as LittleBigPlanet PSP or LittleBigPlanet (PSP) to give it a distinction from the original PS3 Title. So, the name should stay LittleBigPlanet (PSP) estemshorn (talk|contrib) 05:39, 11 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
No, it's not. It is a different game. --Kamasutra (talk) 01:19, 19 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
Ummm, are you suggesting this article be attached to the one for the PS3 version of the game? RandwulfX (talk) 15:29, 27 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
