Sen. Kelly Loeffler

Please note that as Sen. Loeffler was appointed to Johnny Isakson's seat and his seat is a Class III seat, her appointment will last until the election of her successor. This is unlike Sen. Perdue's seat, which is a Class II seat. Therefore, at the beginning of the 117th Congress, Sen. Loeffler will still be in office while Sen. Perdue will not.

I find:
"This is a complete list of United States senators during the 117th United States Congress listed by seniority, from January 3, 2021, to January 3, 2023. It is a historical listing and will contain people who have not served the entire two-year Congress should anyone resign, die, or be expelled."
I had to retract a request to remove Kelly Loeffler here, once I understood that the list here includes anyone who has served in the Senate in this Congress. Try this in place of what I quoted above:
"This is a complete list of United States senators during the 117th United States Congress listed by seniority, from January 3, 2021, to January 3, 2023. It is a historical listing and will contain people who have not served in the entire two-year Congress so far should anyone leave by resignation, death, or expulsion, or enter or leave because of appointment or special election."
Notice that I used "in the entire two-year Congress so far" because the full 2 years isn't up yet.

Above, I am seeing link for Senators Whose Terms of Service Expire in 2021, but it is now pointing to such list for 2027. Carlm0404 (talk) 17:43, 21 January 2021 (UTC)

@Carlm0404: That's because the source was accessed in 2020, before the Class II terms expired in 2021. Since we have passed January 3, 2021, they are now expiring in 2027. If you look at the source after January 3, 2027, it will be expiring in 2033. It's the same source. Sdrqaz (talk) 00:36, 22 January 2021 (UTC)

Extra horizontal line in far left column between 99 and 100

Do you understand what I am referring to? At this writing, there are 3 Senators who joined after 3 Jan. 2021. Offsetting this is that there were only 99 Senators right at the beginning of this Congress and that Kamala Harris (resigned to become new VP) and Kelly Loeffler (appointee who lost special election) have ceased as Senators. Also the line in that column under 100. Or maybe blank out "100" altogether because David Perdue had to cease, leaving only 99 members. Carlm0404 (talk) 08:17, 21 January 2021 (UTC)

@Carlm0404: When the change was made, I think the rationale of putting the "100" in front of Sen. Ossoff was because he was the one who was filling the 100th seat in the Senate, formerly held by David Perdue but vacant since the beginning of the 117th Congress. Sens. Padilla and Warnock were replacing senators who had been in office since the start of the 117th Congress. Sdrqaz (talk) 00:48, 22 January 2021 (UTC)

Misunderstanding of page's historical purpose.

I will fix the erroneous deletions of Harris and Loeffler from this list. Others continue to remove them, not understanding that this page is a historical account of all senators since Jan. 3 2021.
