editI'm not enough of a regular to know how citations are properly done, but Josette's appearance (and all this info; she explained her backstory to Angel) comes from Uncanny X-men 415. Mentioning it here cause I don't see a talk page link on her page and this is where her page's info was suggested for a move to. 66.245.72.70 (talk) 04:25, 22 April 2013 (UTC)

Merge proposal for Jude the Entropic Man
editA PROD on this was replaced with a merge proposal by an IP.
- Oppose merge - this minor character isn't worth including on the list. He's linked from about a dozen non-list articles that provide enough context without the need for an entry here. It should be taken to AfD. Argento Surfer (talk) 15:50, 15 June 2018 (UTC)
- Support merge - the article can be merged here briefly, it does not need to be deleted. 208.47.202.254 (talk) 17:00, 15 June 2018 (UTC)
- Just be cause it can be merged doesn't mean it should be. These lists aren't supposed to be exhaustive. Argento Surfer (talk) 17:25, 15 June 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose merge - Argento Surfer is right about the lists not being exhaustive. --Rtkat3 (talk) 20:00, 28 June 2018 (UTC)

List
editUser:Namenamenamenamename, why don't you just go all out and turn it into a list, rather than a collection of headings and sections consisting only of one link? I'd support that. Patar knight, I think you misunderstand the purpose of such lists. Drmies (talk) 23:06, 9 October 2018 (UTC)
- I don't care what criteria is adopted for inclusion on such pages. But when a user acknowledges that removing content breaks incoming redirects and doesn't do anything to remedy that even though they've been informed that the redirects can be fixed, it's problematic. This kind of removal confuses the people who use the redirect, hinders their access to any relevant content, and makes some entries on disambiguation pages unnecessarily invalid. Either merge/retarget the content/redirects to relevant pages (e.g. a related group, a related character, or a comic run that the character appears in), send them to AFD, have a broad discussion on a rigorous standard for all these pages, or keep the content. ---- Patar knight - chat/contributions 23:28, 9 October 2018 (UTC)
- Well, I do care. We've been living with way too much of this cruft for way too long. User:Namenamenamenamename, there are things you can do to alleviate these concerns, I'm sure. Drmies (talk) 00:07, 10 October 2018 (UTC)
- The selection criteria and removal procedure has been discussed on the list's main talk page. Drmies, the page was originally a bullet pointed list, but it was converted to its current form about six years ago as a repository for all the characters who are important to the fiction but not independently notable. Several editors have worked on merging articles into it over the years, and name^5 is the most recent to take up the challenge. Argento Surfer (talk) 12:36, 10 October 2018 (UTC)
