editCould anybody displace this article to Leos Carax? The title is wrong, the director has no "Accent" in his Forename!
Je vous salue, Carax
editI strongly oppose the idea that Pola X contains what you call "hard pornography". Carax has made a film that has been largely misunderstood, because it is poetic. The vast majority of the people are sadly disconnected with poetry. The scene that is refered to is probably one of the most amazing and subtle filmings of love making, one of the first in the history of cinema that actually shows it more physically. It is shot in very shady tones with extraordinary tact. After all, people have sex in real life and in literature. Carax is showing us with infinite delicacy that it can be done also in the movies. This is not a film that should be classified as "erotic" either. It is a work of love and a story of love. The proof of that is that it has great admirers all over the world. Carax is extremelly gifted, he is ahead of his time to show us things that we still cannot see and maybe just perceive. He is making art. In time it is inevitable that he will be widely recognized as a visionary.
I agree that to label that scene as "pornography", to suggest that it was "disturbing" or indeed a critical failure is extremely misleading. This should be corrtected. The film received quite positive responses in the US, negative in the UK and mixed in France. --Dohanlon 18:54, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
Further to the comment above I disagree that Mauvais Sang alienated some of his audience. In fact that film found a much larger audience than Boy Meets Girls and was a critical sucess. This article is very much opinion based and needs to be reevaluated. --Dohanlon 11:03, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
