Notability

What makes this character notable enough to have his own article? So far, there are no reliable third-party sources from which to presume notability. --Farix (Talk) 13:14, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

He does have his own manga predating Detective Conan (it was started in 1988 by Gosho Aoyama). Also, Kaito Kid appears often enough as a reoccurring character in Detective Conan - he appears in nine cases in the manga (see this site that has a nice organized list of each appearance), in the anime episodes mirroring the manga cases, and in three of the movies (Last Wizard of the Century, Magician of the Silver Sky, and Requiem of the Detectives), as well as tie-in OVAs. Trivia Section

For all the other Case Closed Characters I managed to get rid of their trivia section, and merge almost all the information inot the artcile, or make better sections (like info on name and age for examples), but for this character I find it hard to place this random information into the artcile, or into appropriate sections. A little help please? I would rather not just delete this info, it is useful. - Prede (talk) 21:34, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

I have made multiple nw sections and removed the trivia section sense Trivia Sections are discouraged by Wikipedia rules. I added a lot of information as well. Please fix any mistakes you see, and if you feel any other section is needed (or not needed) due to the removal of the triva section, please state so, or better yet make it(fix/delete it) yourself. I am currently happy with the detail of this artcile, and the newer sections, but some sections may need a copy/edit. Also more information under these new sections can only improve the artcile. Can we remove this tag yet? I don't find any reason to keep it here. If there is/are reason(s) to keep the tag, then what should be re-written specifically? Any help? KID and the Kurobas

KID is the title of a Kaitou, which by itself is independent of the two Kurobas. As a result, I don't think describing Kaito when he's not Kid is appropriate. However, I don't know where can that be moved to...--Samuel di Curtisi di Salvadori 02:29, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

Me too, since that information doesn't swirl with Kaito Kid Info and since there were two Kaito Kids, I separated them and pretended they were different people. I'm trying to keep Kaito Kid Charachter less but since the past experience of the Original Kaito Kid is unknown, I replace the experience with Kuroba Kaito's. Also I combined the facts like gadgets and fears. There was no need for those sections.Dragonsblast (talk) 02:34, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

This just came to me. Since this Kaitou Kid page is all about Kuroba Kaitou, it should just say Kaito Kid is Kuroba Kaitou and add any information about his father to his father's page. Page Renamed to Kaito Kuroba

In Viz's release of Conan it gives something like an explanation that the Kid name comes from his title International Criminal 1412, the numbers "1412" are shown being altered to look like "KID". Is this something Viz added or is it in the Japanese? If it is the official origin of the name than clearly it should be added. Xfansd (talk) 16:07, 19 August 2012 (UTC)
