Chartres-style bridge?
editA Chartres-style bridge (that is, one inspired by a design used at Chartres to span the Eure) is what un pont chartrain would seem to have been originally. If anyone has more info it would be useful. See also Florance E.-C. Les Ponts Chartrains et les mottes féodales en Loir-et-Cher. In: Revue des Études Anciennes. Tome 24, 1922,
