There are a few times where the page seemed a little off in wording. For instance, in the Self-presentation (psychology) section, it reads: “If they feel like it is restricted, they often exhibit reactance or become defiant – try to assert their freedom against those who would seek to curtail self-presentation expressiveness.” Complete sentences help understand this theory, I had to read it a couple of times to understand that the “-“ is indeed defining defiant and reactance. It seems small but usually, Wikipedia is used to get easy and quick facts so the fact that I had to read a couple of times the same sentence, shows it was not so quick in giving me the facts I need to know the theory. When defining “Flattery” they repeat the word which is not how a definition should be worded. The theory was easier to understand with the examples and specific examples in the sections The Media, The Internet, and so forth because I could see how this was being used in everyday life. Perhaps put a couple of examples earlier in the top of the Wikipedia sections so that we can relate to Impression Management sooner rather than later while reading the bottom sections. - Tj180 15:06, 2 March 2016 (UTC)15:06, 2 March 2016 (UTC)15:06, 2 March 2016 (UTC)15:06, 2 March 2016 (UTC)15:06, 2 March 2016 (UTC)15:06, 2 March 2016 (UTC)15:06, 2 March 2016 (UTC)15:06, 2 March 2016 (UTC)15:06, 2 March 2016 (UTC)15:06, 2 March 2016 (UTC)15:06, 2 March 2016 (UTC)15:06, 2 March 2016 (UTC)15:06, 2 March 2016 (UTC)15:06, 2 March 2016 (UTC)Tj180 (talk) 15:06, 2 March 2016 (UTC)

Adding Workplace Impression Management section under Applications
editHi,
I'm planning to create a new section within "Applications" that discusses Impression Management in the workplace, with content from the following sources:
The ideas I'm adding include a brief explanation of the reciprocal nature of impression management in the workplace, research suggesting tactics for successful impression management, implications for leaders, and professional impression management extending beyond the organization (both for publicly visible figures like CEOs and for individuals).
I'm considering moving the content regarding Corporate Brand, Corporate Storytelling, etc. into this section as well, and am interested in feedback about whether that would make sense.

- Hi,
- Yes that will be fine.
It makes sense. Just want to get a better understanding of this, you want to add a section within the article that discusses impression management in a workplace and how it affects the individual? I TheSunshineGirl (talk) 17:41, 31 October 2022 (UTC)
