From the article: "he set up the company's first international operation in Iran in 1919, dubbing Hindi films into the Persian language" 8 years before sound films were in the market, they dubbed films? I am sorry, but this is pure nonsense

Sorry to put a dampener on things, but shouldn't someone mention the Bofors arms affair, and the Mandelson passport corruption affair (Hinduja brothers: wealthy and reclusive) ? Not to be rude, but the only reason I've heard of the Hindujas are because of the news coverage of one of these scandals (can't remember which one).

Advertising and exagerated nonsense

edit

Gulf Oil International, which operates from London offices, is one of the largest petroleum companies and petroleum product traders in the world, operating in more than 83 countries through a network of own companies, joint ventures, licensees, and distributors. It employs more than 3000 people directly worldwide, with indirect employment touching more than 30,000.

What a load of rubbish, 'one of the largest petroleum companies'? Never heard of them! Also, 3000 employees would make Gulf oil a minnow in the petroleum world. The article also states that it has petrol stations in most countries in the world. Well that must exclude the UK and most of the rest of Europe, cos I've never seen one. Ofcourse I'm in breach of WP:OR with that last statement, but nonetheless, this article reads like an advertisement or investor prospectus rather than a serious encyclopedic article.1812ahill (talk) 01:45, 16 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
