This parenthetical comment in the plot summary is speculation violating Wikipedia:Neutral point of view. It also is an odd claim because the only "failure" of his plan was not accounting for a loud air horn coming from Alexandria and lasting for a few minutes, hardly something that can be blamed on poor planning.
