Bonus tracks
editThe bonus tracks need more information. You wouldn't know that you had to have bought the game before they came out to be able to download them from the article. Add more.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.127.88.180 (talk) 11:14, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
References for soundtrack section
editI entered the information on the soundtrack on this page. I own the game and have unlocked every song. I have no way to prove this though. Thecrimson (talk) 07:15, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
- All of the songs you mentioned DO come from Guitar Hero II and Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, so there is no reason to question that these are most likely the songs in the game and in that order. However, I still don't see any verifiable sites (like IGN.com) that have a full track listing as of yet. For now, I think it is best to keep what we have with the {{unreferencedsection}} template added to the Soundtrack section. Anyway... thanks for adding it though. I'm sure many readers will find the information helpful. lightsup55 ( T | C ) 07:51, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
Question
editDoes anyone know if this is coming to AT&T/Cingular phones? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.209.4.247 (talk) 18:43, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
- This isn't a forum for general disscussion (see What Wikipedia is not), but yes. Guitar Hero III Mobile will be made available on other carriers in the future. lightsup55 ( T | C ) 23:11, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
Guitar Hero Mobile VS Guitar Hero 3 Mobile
editShouldn't it be Guitar Hero: Mobile or Guitar Hero (Mobile)?
I mean, this contains songs from GH2 and GH3, as well as the program being sold as Guitar Hero, not Guitar Hero 3. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.38.165.137 (talk) 20:03, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
- According to Hands-On Mobile (the publisher), the correct name was changed from "Guitar Hero" (without any distinction between from the 2005 PlayStation 2 video game also called "Guitar Hero") to "Guitar Hero III Mobile".
- You can verify this by going to Hands-On Mobile's official website at: http://www.handson.com/
- And by the way, when you post messages on talk pages (such as this one), be sure to sign your post by adding 4 tildes (~~~~) at the end. For example:

- The title of the game on Verizon's Get it Now is Guitar Hero III Mobile, therefore it is Guitar Hero III with some GH2 songs in it. 24.218.147.30 (talk) 01:54, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
On Rogers' online store, it is just Guitar Hero III. you're not colorblind, it's colored this way. Or maybe you are. Misteryoshi 16:17, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
- Are you talking about this? I believe that it should go what the publisher calls it. The console/computer version published by Activision (PS2, PS3, Wii, Xbox 360, PC, and Mac) is called Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock and is also known as Guitar Hero III or sometimes Guitar Hero 3 for short. This conflicted with the name of the mobile phone version, so Hands-On Mobile officially changed the name to Guitar Hero III Mobile. Anyway... I'll see what the video game WikiProject says about this. Lightsup55 ( T | C ) 00:05, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
Cut down the gameplay section
editMost of it was duplicated from the merged "common gameplay elements" section of the series article, so I just mentioned the changes only, cross-referencing the other page. That okay? ViperSnake151 23:09, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
PROPOSAL - split section Soundtrack to List of songs in Guitar Hero III Mobile?
editThe list of songs aren't nearly as big as those in Guitar Hero, Guitar Hero II, Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s, or even the dreaded Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock list, however...
I'm suggesting that we move the current list of songs in the Soundtrack section over to it's own article at List of songs in Guitar Hero III Mobile (which currently just redirects to the Soundtrack section on the main article). Lightsup55 ( T | C ) 12:02, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
- I agree with this completely. I mean, GH:80s has its own page for 30 songs. GHIII:Mobile now has 30 songs with more coming every month. Why shouldn't it have its own page?Crazydiamond1to9 (talk) 04:27, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
The only problem with this is that the main article, if not both articles, will probably end up being (a) stub(s).TechMath (talk) 22:05, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
Link 7 is broken
editLink 7 is broken —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.255.163.169 (talk) 22:21, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
- "Link 7" isn't really helpful. If the article were to have changed where a new reference was added before link 7, then 7 would become 8. If you were to have said the link to the reference titled "Guitar Hero(R) III Mobile Will Rock Your BlackBerry(R) Smartphone" is broken, then that would've been a bit easier to find.
Anyway, I have corrected it. And by way, you might want to check out the Checklinks tool at http://toolserver.org/~dispenser/view/Checklinks. I'm going to run it right now just to make sure everything else is in order.
Thanks. Lightsup55 ( T | C ) 05:27, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
GA Review
edit- This review is transcluded from Talk:Guitar Hero III Mobile/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.
Hi. I'm going to review this page.
Well, I'm going to put this nomination on hold because of this sentence in the lead: "The game was developed by MachineWorks Northwest LLC and is published by Hands-On Mobile for [1]." For what? LOL
That's about it. I personally would like a ref # after the first sentence in Reception, but other than that everything looks fine. Just fix that sentence and everything should work out. Intothewoods29 (talk) 15:51, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
- I've removed the incomplete sentence, and to stick to one lead referencing style, I've moved the references out of the lead to the infobox so that there are no citations in the lead (delegating them to the rest of the article). --MASEM 16:05, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
Great. I can't see anything wrong with this, so I'm promoting it to GA! My suggestions, if you were planning to go for FA, I'd expand it, and just make sure everything is neutral (like the first sentence in Reception). Good work.
1. flows well, clear
2. plenty of refs
3.stays on topic
4. neutral
5. stable

Request for Removal- "...over 250,000 songs are played each day across the series."
editThis sounds too much like an advertisement and there are no sources to back it up. It's likely false now anyway, given that it's a more than 10 year-old game. Eatmorepies (talk) 01:01, 7 May 2020 (UTC)
