Also, is linking to my translation/walkthrough work really considered to be spam? The game is very hard to play through without it...

Probably not. Sorry, I re-added it. For some reason I thought there was already a fansite link in the article and removed it per the one fansite link per article rule. the bit about how and where to buy the game seems unneccessary and unencyclopedic. It's also an endorsement of eBay and Yahoo Auctions, even if you can find the game there. Perhaps if there is a fansite with similar information on how to buy you could add a link to that site with a note that points out that the fansite has a 'how to buy' guide.
