Image question

An editor recently created File:Vaisseau le Ville de Paris.png and added it to the article. It's a nice picture but I suspect it is AI-generated. If so this would be a breach of WP:CGC. Notably the image is also inaccurate, including for example a tricolour flag which was not used for French naval vessels of this era. This would be an odd error for a portrait done in the era. Unfortunately there's no information in the image descriptor regarding when it was created, but this adds to my view that it was recently made.

For these reasons, have brought the image here for review, and restored the previous inage which has a provable historical origin. -- Euryalus (talk) 11:42, 23 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
