Should this article discuss how Thailand had to return the territories to France after World War II? Paul C 18:11, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

If the article didn't discuss this point, the readers would be wondering what happened after the second world war. Everybody knows that Thailand only got the territories from France because of Japan's intervention. Thailand was on Japan's side in the second world war and as such ended up a defeated nation. It's going to be the natural curiosity of any reader to know the mechanism whereby these territories were eventually restored to France. (58.10.102.68 13:14, 29 April 2007 (UTC))

Part of World War II

Strength of the French Navy in this war?

Hi All, this article IMHO looks pretty good. To further improve the comparison of the opposing forces, can anyone please add which was the strength of the french naval forces in Indochina at that time?

Name of the conflict

Shouldn't this be called the Franco-Thai War, along the lines of Franco-Prussian War? I don't think "French-Thai" follows standard naming conventions. 69.129.36.50 (talk) 15:25, 6 October 2008 (UTC)

Opposing Forces

"This seemingly subservient behavior convinced the Phibun regime that Vichy France would not seriously resist a confrontation with Thailand." I find this sentence ambiguous. Thai Strategic victory

I have cited a source from Frenchman B. Falls book The Street Without Joy' where he quite clearly states that the French were forced to surrender to Thailand three provinces in Cambodia and two provinces in Laos. This quite clearly means a Thai victory in terms of strategy. But yet Albrecht simply doesn't want to see this and keeps deleting this! Explain! --Bruichladdich1 (talk) ) 19:51, 15 May 2010 (GMT)

New to Wiki.

November 2016

This article contains a photo captioned: "Psa Thom Thmey Market in Phnom Penh before Thais air raid." This doesn't make sense. Psa is the Khmer word for market. Basically the caption says "New Big Market Market." It should just be "Psa Thom Thmey" or use the English name, "Central Market." 146.88.41.83 (talk) 04:36, 25 November 2016 (UTC)
