History Section Reads Like an Advert

The history section of this article reads like an advert for Dimplex/Glen Dimplex. They are the only company mentioned in this article and the following snippet from this article below almost sounds like it was copied straight from their website.

"In 2008 Dimplex launched the Opti-myst effect which simulates both flames and smoke. In 2013 Dimplex launched the Opti-V effect which combines realistic flickering flames with three dimensional LED logs that sporadically sparks and an audio element of crackling logs."

Also, there was a similar issue with the article for the company itself reading like promotional material, so I think this might be related.

This is true, and I don't even think Dimplex was a common brand in the early years. If you look at 1930s electric fireplaces, at least in the UK, it was brands like English Electric, GEC and Carron. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.13.11.142 (talk) 21:03, 5 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
