Demographics
editI located the current link for the demographics data, which was inaccurate and had a broken link. I could not locate any demographic information more recent than 2000. I also cleaned up the wording in the rest of the section, which was very loaded yet provided no citations. I provided citations as well. Thank you 97.116.127.118 (talk) 16:48, 22 November 2012 (UTC)
Recent
editNo mention of the recent news involving officers robbing people at gas stations? I think that would've been at least somewhat significant. [1] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.70.205.6 (talk) 02:53, 2 August 2013 (UTC)

This article needs a lot of work.
editThe history section is missing any details for over 60 years, skipping right over the entire period from 1940 to 2000 - the period that saw the 1967 riots, the decline of the city through loss of industry and population, the troubled era of Coleman Young as mayor, and a lot more that effected or was created by the Detroit Police.
It's hard to believe this is just a skeleton article at this point? Really needs work.
Controversies NPOV
editVoice of Detroit is a biased source. It claims: "Voice of Detroit is a pro bono newspaper, now devoting itself entirely to stories related to our PRISON NATION and POLICE STATE."
Legally, much of it might be slander or defamation.Creuzbourg (talk) 23:10, 28 September 2023 (UTC)
