Also, there is no mention of the Governor's role in the National Advisory Committee on Rural Health and Human Services, an entity that reports directly to the Secretary of DHHS. He has been chairman since 2002. The website is below: http://ruralcommittee.hrsa.gov/ —Preceding unsigned comment added by Random12345678910 (talk • contribs) 07:35, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
I do not believe that David Beasly was Governor when hurricane Floyd skirted South Carolina. It was Governor Hodges. It is included in the wiki biography for Governor Hodges, which means the wikipedia biographies contradict each other.```` — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:25B5:6B59:84C3:BD3A:F941:C8E5 (talk) 02:18, 23 October 2014 (UTC)
Possibly related to Thomas W. Beasley?
editIs he related to Thomas W. Beasley, the former Chairman of the Tennessee Republican Party? Is anyone able to find a reference to prove or disprove this please?Zigzig20s (talk) 17:09, 28 December 2015 (UTC)
World Food Programme
editGov Beasley has been nominated by U.S. UN Ambassador to be head of the World Food Programme. I would think this would be a major edit so trying to be sensitive here about just adding. Here is link: http://www.postandcourier.com/politics/nikki-haley-nominates-former-south-carolina-gov-david-beasley-for/article_dedc81ee-fdd4-11e6-a80b-2f0ab73f2f31.html
Also, I have a photo of Gov. Beasley at the National Prayer Breakfast this year that also could be added.

Article possibly written by PR team?
editIs this a CV written by the subjects PR team? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rustygecko (talk • contribs) 06:09, 19 May 2020 (UTC)
I agree, especially with this line: "Owners of video poker machines, which were legal in South Carolina at the time, poured millions of dollars into advertisements attacking Beasley for trying to ban video poker" cited as a reason for his loosing the election. I'll spend some time with the article and clean it up. Dr. Blazer (talk) 21:14, 19 May 2020 (UTC)
