Rev ACTION was by an Admin
editFirst I add the link about Bustamante using the word "peckerwood" while speaking to a group of several hundred white labor activists
It mysteriously gets deleted.
I add it again.
Now a fellow Wikipedian believes he or she is in possession of decidedly omnipotent powers can can say with .001% certainty that Mr. Bustamante used the slur "by accident". Sorry but that's POV. Mr. Bustamante claimed he said "peckerwood" by accident but no one knows for sure.69.157.33.48 22:45, 11 April 2006 (UTC)Guy Incognito (aka an angry white guy from the Bay Area)

Largest ethics fine in history
editNo mention of the 'largest ethics fine in history' (per some campaign literature I read) -- http://articles.latimes.com/2004/apr/14/local/me-cruz14 -- or in fact anything having to do with having to do with this event. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.161.28.111 (talk) 21:24, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
Election box cleanup
editAs currently used on this page, the Template:Election_box inclusions are a bit messy, due to missing data. I've read through the documentation, and found that the template set has alternate versions that are able to deal with most of these cases. So I'm going to swap them out where appropriate, or comment out sections which contain no data. If anyone is able to obtain the necessary data to fill in those sections, you're encouraged to re-enable the more complete templates, and populate them. —Preceding unsigned comment added by FeRD NYC (talk • contribs) 22:24, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
N-word racial slur while speaking to Black Americans -- twice
editI forget the exact year, somewhere between '02 to '04 I believe, Bustamante was giving a speech to African Americans when he uttered, mid-speech, the n-word. Many reportedly got up and left during the speech. He later issued an apology and said he wasn't aware he had said it -- all quite mysterious if you ask me. Anyone want to dig that up and post it in this article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 110.74.195.203 (talk) 15:24, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
- I remember it well, as I'm sure plenty of others do too. Isn't if funny how it gets no mention here and just fades away since he isn't "white." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 113.172.220.38 (talk) 11:42, 2 June 2013 (UTC)

Party nominee navbox
editI've removed this as IIUC there were no primaries for the recall election - all candidates went onto a single ballot paper for the final decision. Bustamante may have been the highest profile registered Democrat candidate but there wasn't an official process to make him a party nominee. Timrollpickering (talk) 20:12, 4 September 2016 (UTC)
