Reference number 5
editThe statement that "Death rates were highest among children under age 1, followed by children ages 15 to 19, 1 to 4, and 5 to 14." is backed up by a reference to childtrends.org. Looking at childtrends.org I get the feeling that they only consider American children when stating this? If this is true the statement should be removed, as the article concerns child mortality globally. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.23.224.68 (talk) 22:06, 5 November 2019 (UTC)

Add A Fact: "Diarrhoea major cause of child deaths"
editI found a fact that might belong in this article. See the quote below
Diarrhoea is a leading killer of children, accounting for approximately 9 per cent of all deaths among children under age 5 worldwide in 2021. This translates to over 1,200 young children dying each day, or about 444,000 children a year, despite the availability of a simple treatment solution.
The fact comes from the following source:
Additional comments from user: It is urgent to share validated data on the extent to which this disease is responsible for numerous children's deaths.
