Arc System Works

edit

To clarify, the game itself, the box, and early reviews will attribute this game to only "Angel". However, around 2018 Arc System Works stated that they developed the game after the game received more attention at fighting game tournaments. ASW was a tiny developer at the time, and they were working on home ports of arcade games and obscure games such as Pizza Pop. Sailor Moon S would serve as their first fighting game. Just making this post in case people are confused why ASW was not credited in the game itself.

Angel appears to have been later bought by Bandai, but I can't find a source that attests to this. Harizotoh9 (talk) 17:51, 29 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Harizotoh9:Try to find a source where Arc System Works revealed themselvas as the true developers of the game... Roberth Martinez (talk) 19:51, 29 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
They talk about it briefly as their first fighting game at their 2018 Evo Panel at 35:29 on the video. Hobby Consolas as cited in the article is a nice third party source covering the connection. Angel was a publisher under Bandai, and crediting sub-contracted developers was not common practice in the 90's, especially for tiny developers. Harizotoh9 (talk) 20:33, 29 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Harizotoh9: However, the two members representing Arc System Works do touch upon the development process of the game briefly so, there's importance to that video... Roberth Martinez (talk) 23:09, 29 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
