editThis whole article can't be verifeid in the primary sources Gregory of Tours and it totally contradicts the interpretation of Edward James "The Franks". If I find the time I will do an attempt to improve it. johanthon (talk) 20:45, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

editGibbon and Milman's notes in my 1905 edition (The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire) suggests that Syagrius had only a token army of young volunteers who (presumably) ran at the sight of Clovis'e Franks. Though not stated by Gibbon is is possible that a battle never took place and that the effect of Clovis's challenge alone (added in my edit) effected Syagrius's flight. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.135.145.177 (talk) 18:53, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
