The spelling can be Assam fish. This is a typical dish that can be found in Malaysia and Singapore, however it is a distinctively Malay dish. If any help is needed on the article, kindly drop me a message.-Gammadion 04:50, 12 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Asam Pedas in Region (Southeast Asia)

edit

Actually Asam Pedas is not only Malaysian fish stew, it was the method of cooking seafoods and fishes that employed tamarind and chilli; not necesarily fish, cuttlefish also can be made Asam Pedas. Asam Pedas is native to Minangkabau cuisine and Malay cuisine and popular in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore (I don't know about Brunei).(Gunkarta (talk) 15:11, 27 April 2011 (UTC)).Reply
