Name
editMaybe someone could include an explanation of the name Alpha Flight. I once read a post by Byrne on his message board that it was Chris Claremonts idea. Both Byrne and Claremont were born in the UK. Claremont seems to have felt more in touch with his roots and drew the inspiration of the name from "The Flying Squad" (a branch of the Specialist Crime Directorate, within London's Metropolitan Police Service). While Byrne created the charachters, they did appear for the first time in X-Men and Claremont came up with the name. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.203.182.109 (talk) 16:57, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
Sasquach Changes Into a Sasquach!
editEveryone knows what a sasquach is, especially those who have read Alpha Flight, so it seems more reasonable to say that is what Sasquach (hence the name of the character) turns into, not a "giant furry creature." I wish UtherSRG would stop blindly reverting a good, sensible change, just to be a jerk. 67.71.141.85 12:17, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, he turns into the embodiement of a ancient god, not a sasquatch. Anyone who's read the series would know this, and that this isn't a blind revert. - UtherSRG (talk) 14:50, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
- He turns into a sasquach, hence the name (personal attack removed). If you don't want to have "sasquach" there, "sasquach-like creature" would be better than "giant furry creature" which makes me think of Chewbacca. 70.53.108.194 15:41, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
Alpha Flight Status still in question
editThe status of the members of Alpha Flight is still unknown. Although in Avengers #20, the man who was the Collective confirms that he "killed people." He may only have killed some members of Alpha Flight, not all. It is still unknown which people he killed. So, the overall status of the group is still unknown at this time. It was revealed in Civil War: The Initiative that only Sasquatch survived. Le Messor 04:21, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
Heaquarters
editWondering if there is any info on Alpha Flight's HQs yet? For example, Maison Alpha.

editWasn't there a character, "Box" - some sort of living metal armor? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 169.253.4.21 (talk) 19:09, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

No mention of Manikin. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.157.181.102 (talk) 19:46, 26 September 2016 (UTC)
Proposed merge with The Flight
editThe Flight does not appear to be notable in and of itself, but is apparently a predecessor of Alpha Flight's and could be worth summarizing on this page. Alternatively it could simply be deleted (according to Marvel Wikia the team only appears twice, so...). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Namenamenamenamename (talk • contribs)
- The Flight is a prototype version of Alpha Flight. Just remember that if you go with this merge, you'll have to make a section for it that it can be redirected to and remove the links from the template. --Rtkat3 (talk) 15:33, 21 August 2018 (UTC)
