I changed فترت to فطرت. Both words are meaningful Arabic words, however the word for this concept is فطرت. The misspelling فترت had also resulted in a wrong literal translation: "people of the period," فترت meaning period, age, era. فطرت, the correct word, on the other hand, means "human nature," which is thought by Muslims to be an intrinsic aspect of "human creation" and a natural, albeit weak, guide to "Allah's intent for humankind."
