editThis article needs to be cleaned up (better layout) and edited so that it meets WP:NPOV. [1]. PJM 20:16, 30 November 2005 (UTC)
This article is so garbled, it makes no sense at all. I seriously doubt the neutrality of it. i also think it should be more formal and up to the standards of an encyclopaedia article. Syazana 04:40, 21 December 2005 (UTC)Syazana
This article is extremely biased and one-sided. If there is no one who will edit the page into a more formal and unbiased form, I'd suggest that this article be deleted. Hhanatarouu 11:36, 8 October 2008 (GMT +8:00)
- Um, the concept of Ah-Lian or Ah-Beng sub-culture has "Sides" now? Um, the terms are pejorative descriptors. This article does not exist to debate the ridiculousness of Ah-Lian/Ah-Beng versus the right of people to look as stupid and as culturally confused as they want. If you think a Wiki Article is "one-sided", don't delete it, edit it to make the tone more neutral and informative. Just because you may not wish to do so yourself, doesn't make an article a candidate for deletion, no matter how much any Ah-Lian or Ah-Beng reading this article may want it deleted. Failed AFD
editThis article's AFD debate did not get consensus. Johnleemk | Talk 11:29, 8 December 2005 (UTC)
Research
editIf anyone has access to it, there was an Ah beng/Ah lian feature on straits times on Dec 7, 1997. Might be helpful in editing this article but I'm not sure how to go about doing it. 218.186.68.134 03:29, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
Racism
editI forgot exactly how bad Racism, bigotry was in East Asia until I read "Ah Lians are stereotyped as very loose, sleeping with anyone of any race, age, and social status."
Fei Zhu Liu
editResembles "Fei Zhu Liu" in Mainland China. Are there any further detail regarding this social "group"? It seems rather vague, as this description covers a lot of things. How is this different from the FZL culture in China? -- 李博杰 | —Talk contribs email 01:21, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
