Edit request
editThis edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest was declined. Requests to change an article's title where such changes hold a potential for controversy require the community's consensus via the requested moves process. |
- What I think should be changed (include citations):
Info Box Company Name: Change to Adam & Company. The current name is the Limited company name, but for consistency with the image provided, this would be better off showing as just "Adam & Company".
External Links: Change to Canaccord Genuity; Canaccord Genuity own the Adam & Company brand. Natwest no longer have any involvement in the Adam & Company brand Johnson, Christopher. "Canaccord Genuity completes £54m Adam & Co acquisition". CityWire. CityWire. Retrieved 2021-10-04.
- Why it should be changed:
Canaccord Genuity acquired all rights to the Adam & Company brand. The current Wikipedia external links imply this is not the case. It would be better to link to the correct parent company.
The name change is for clarity for any potential customers researching the bank so as to not differentiate from the current Adam & Company website. It would cause confusion for users if they were to follow through on links on the Wikipedia article to the website.

- Hi Spintendo,
- I'm not intending to change the article's title. The request is to amend the name within the info box. Apologies for the confusion.
- Would I be required to submit any further information for this edit? Karl-SPD96 (talk) 10:46, 31 August 2023 (UTC)

- Hi Karl-SPD96, the infobox company name should mention the full legal name per infobox documentation. In addition, the first sentence should also open with the full legal name per WP:NCCORP. I have made those changes and have also added "Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management" as the company's
trade_name
to the infobox and "subsidiary" as thetype
per company website.[1] Ptrnext (talk) 04:53, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
