Figures given here must be wrong
editThe figures in the table cannot be correct. It says the Liberals, led by Benjamin Constant, won 0 seats and gives no vote total for them. But the text on the right says, correctly, that Constant was one of the deputies elected. The vote total is also a suspiciously round figure.
It looks as though the Liberal and Doctrinaire votes and seats have been lumped together and given to the Doctrinaires, but I cannot confirm this. This post on Twitter suggests that the opposition total was 34 seats rather than 17, and also gives a figure of 416 for the Right, but it is not clear whether this means just the Ultras or the Ultras and Doctrinaires combined. If the latter, this would suggest 34 seats for the Liberals. Again, I cannot confirm this.
