  • ... that a mysterious island appeared in France after a 2009 cyclone? "In the early morning of 23 January 2009, the most powerful hurricane-force storm to hit France in a decade came howling in from the Bay of Biscay ... an island had risen out of the boiling waters ... Locals soon called it "l'île mystérieuse" – the mysterious island – after the novel by Jules Verne." from: Tearse, Graham (11 August 2010). "Fragile habitat of French mystery island 'risks being trampled underfoot'". The Guardian. Retrieved 15 August 2020.
    • ALT1:... that in 2015 an attempt was made to annex Tahiti to a French department? "Ce lundi matin, une bande de joyeux lurons, une cinquantaine de personnes de tous âges, s’est rassemblée sur le port de Royan. Une fois les étendards de la Charente-Maritime distribués, les conquérants se sont répartis sur les différents bateaux de la flotte. Mission du jour : l’annexion de l’île sans nom du phare de Cordouan. Cette île, ils l’ont renommée Tahiti. "from: Herpeux, Laure (8 October 2015). "Estuaire de la Gironde : une nouvelle île "annexée" par la Charente-Maritime". Sud Ouest (in French). Retrieved 16 August 2020.
    • ALT2:... that the Île Sans Nom in France was moved 50 metres (160 ft) by Cyclone Xynthia in 2010? "In February this year the region was hit by yet another and more devastating storm, cyclone Xynthia. In the aftermath, Thirion and his colleagues were delighted – and surprised – that the island largely survived the severe battering from giant waves, hurricane-force winds and exceptionally high tides, which moved it 50m eastwards and ripped some 3.5 acres from its summit." from: Tearse, Graham (11 August 2010). "Fragile habitat of French mystery island 'risks being trampled underfoot'". The Guardian. Retrieved 15 August 2020.

  •   No major occurences of copyvio beyond French sounding names. Hooks are all cited and inline, verifiable with the mentioned sources. Article in general is long enough and well-referenced, neutral (hard not to be anyway). QPQ is done, so good to go. ALT0 is my go-to in this case. Juxlos (talk) 03:08, 17 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
