Sevilay İmamoğlu Öcal (born Sevilay İmamoğlu October 7, 1984 in Lüleburgaz, Kırklareli Province) is a Turkish retired handballer in the goalkeeper position. She was a member of the Turkish national team.[1] She studied physical education and sports at the Gazi University in Ankara.[2]

Club career
editBefore Sevilay Imamoğlu Öcal transferred to the Muratpaşa Bld. SK at Antalya in July 2011, she played for İzmir Büyükşehir Belediyesi SK, Ankara Havelsan, Üsküdar Bld. SK and Kastamonu G. MSK, where she began her professional career.[1][3] She was forced to move to the goalkeeper position, though she was previously playing as left winger at the Üsküdar Belediyespor, when their goalkeeper left.[4]
International career
editIn 2017, she won the silver medal with the national team at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku, Azerbaycan.[5][6]
In April 2022, Sevilay İmamoğlu Öcal retired from the national team after being their member for 24 years.[7]
