Raza Ali Shah Al-Abidi (Urdu: رضا علی شاہ العابدی), commonly referred to as Shah Saab, is an Indo-Persian Muslim belonging to the Syed (or Sayyid) lineage, and is an influential spiritualist who has founded the Sufi Guidance channel and community on YouTube.

Early and personal life

edit

Shah Saab was born on December 5th in Manchester, United Kingdom, then was later raised in Karachi, Pakistan. His father, Akther Moeed Shah Al-Abidi, Shah Ji, was his spiritual mentor and guide, passing down the divine knowledge Ilm (Arabic) as presented to his family through his grandfather. After marrying and settling his family in Manchester, Shah Saab settled in Dubai, United Arab Emirates in 2021 to continue his spiritual practice and helping those in need by doing so.

Spiritual work

edit

Similar to his father, Shah Saab has spiritual healing abilities through his understanding of ancient Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh), numerology (or abjad calculations) and the Arabic alphabet. He uses focused meditation and concentrated recitation of holy texts, wazifa, to engage in prayer and supplication [2] which is intended to promote health and well-being. He has upheld the family legacy of the Abidi household, and established his presence in the mainstream. In 2012, he launched his first social media platform by developing a YouTube channel to showcase his abilities to assist those in need. His primary goal is to help those who were not able to help themselves by utilizing practices and knowledge from the Holy Quran and other religious works. He aims to bring people closer to God and demonstrate how recitation of the Holy Quran or other religious texts could produce positive outcomes. This continues to be the practice of those who consider themselves dervishes or Sufi, and those who follow Islamic Mysticism[3]. It has been the way of the Abidi family for three generations.

As Shah Saab's notoriety as a healer spreads, he receives tens of thousands of messages a week asking for help and distance healing. He has grown his Instagram account and other social media platforms to engage with people around the world who may need his help regardless of age, race, religion or background. Every week he demonstrates his abilities, including spiritual healing, to a live audience of thousands on YouTube, many of whom later return to give testimonies of success.
