Missing Donkey Kong Land 2 and 3
I'm not sure how to add it, but shouldn't Donkey Kong Land 2 and Donkey Kong Land III be in the Donkey Kong section? They each have their own articles. Thanks. --Bchill53 (talk) 00:16, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Bchill53: What section are you referring to exactly? ~ Arkhandar (message me) 02:12, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Arkhandar: Sorry, where it says "Major Game Articles by Franchise", under "Donkey Kong". It seemingly lists every game in the franchise besides a few like Donkey Konga 2 and 3 that have the same page as the first and then Donkey Kong Land 2 and 3, even though their pages should be there listed as "Start" or "Stub", whichever is most appropriate.--Bchill53 (talk) 02:58, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
- Makes sense. I've added them. Ben · Salvidrim! ✉ 04:42, 12 February 2019 (UTC)

Games to Add
Sorry, I'm not sure if I'm not able to add info to this page or I'm just missing how I can do it myself, but there are a few to be added:
- Game: Yoshi's Crafted World
- Series: Yoshi
- Game: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
- Series: Super Smash Bros.
- Game: WarioWare Gold
- Series: Wario
- Sub-Series: WarioWare
- Series: Wario
- Game: Mario Party: The Top 100
- Series: Mario
- Sub-Series: Mario Party
- Sub-Sub-Series: Mario Party handhelds
- Sub-Series: Mario Party
- Series: Mario
- Game: Metroid Prime 4
- Series: Metroid
- Sub-Series: Metroid Prime
- Series: Metroid
- Game: Pokémon Rumble Rush
- Series: Pokemon
- Sub-Series: Pokemon Spin-offs
- Series: Pokemon
The Rumble series likely deserve their own (sub-?)sub-series since there are several now.
- Game: The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (2019 video game)
- Series: The Legend of Zelda
- Sub-Series: Remakes
- Series: The Legend of Zelda
Also, the remakes of games in The Legend of Zelda series are listed directly after the originals, which is not the case for the other series lists (Fire Emblem, Pokemon, Kirby, etc.). From how the others are, the remakes should be listed in their position based on release date or in their own section. For consistency, I suggest adding a sub-series of The Legend of Zelda games for the remakes or organizing them based on their release dates. The new list would then be:
Series: The Legend of Zelda Sub-Series 1:
- The Legend of Zelda GA
- The Adventure of Link GA
- A Link to the Past GA
- Link's Awakening Featured article FA
- Ocarina of Time Featured article FA
- Majora's Mask Featured article FA
- Oracle of Seasons/Ages Featured article FA
- The Wind Waker GA
- Four Swords Adventures GA
- The Minish Cap GA
- Twilight Princess GA
- Phantom Hourglass GA
- Spirit Tracks C
- Skyward Sword GA
- A Link Between Worlds GA
- Tri Force Heroes C
- Breath of the Wild GA
Sub-Series 2:
- A Link to the Past and Four Swords C
- Ocarina of Time 3D C
- Majora's Mask 3D Start
- The Wind Waker HD C
- Twilight Princess HD Start
- Link's Awakening (2019) Start
Sub-series 3:
- LCD games Start
- CD-i games GA
- Faces of Evil/Wand of Gamelon B
- Zelda's Adventure Start
- Satellaview games B
- Freshly-Picked Tingle C
- Link's Crossbow Training C
- Ripening Tingle Start
- Hyrule Warriors C
In the same vein as placing remakes in their own section, these other games should be placed in newly created Remakes sub-series for the respective series:
- Game: Star Fox 64 3D (should be moved)
- Series: Star Fox
- Sub-Series: Remakes (new section)
- Series: Star Fox
- Game: Metroid Zero Mission (should be moved)
- Series: Metroid
- Sub-Series: Remakes (new section)
- Series: Metroid
- Game: Metroid Prime Trilogy (should be moved)
- Series: Metroid
- Sub-Series: Remakes (new section)
- Series: Metroid
- Game: Metroid: Samus Returns
- Series: Metroid
- Sub-Series: Remakes (new section)
- Series: Metroid
- Game: Super Mario All-Stars
- Series: Mario
- Sub-Series: Super Mario series
- Sub-Sub-Series: Remakes (new section)
- Sub-Series: Super Mario series
- Series: Mario
- Game: Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3
- Series: Mario
- Sub-Series: Super Mario series
- Sub-Sub-Series: Remakes (new section)
- Sub-Series: Super Mario series
- Series: Mario
- Game: Super Mario 64 DS
- Series: Mario
- Sub-Series: Super Mario series
- Sub-Sub-Series: Remakes (new section)
- Sub-Series: Super Mario series
- Series: Mario
In the Mario series, I think that cancelled games should belong in their own category to not confuse readers in thinking they are part of the series. Super Mario Spikers from the Mario sports games sub-series and Super Mario 128 and Super Mario's Wacky Worlds from the Other games sub-series should probably be in their own Cancelled sub-series.
And Mario Bros. II in the Other games sub-series should be removed, as it is a fan-released game and not through Nintendo. Otherwise, we should add all fan-related games to this template, which I do not recommend...
And finally, for some reason, the Fire Emblem and F-Zero columns are touching when all other columns have equal spacing between them.
Thanks! --Bchill53 (talk) 20:53, 20 May 2019 (UTC)

Request for information on WP1.0 web tool
Hello and greetings from the maintainers of the WP 1.0 Bot! As you may or may not know, we are currently involved in an overhaul of the bot, in order to make it more modern and maintainable. As part of this process, we will be rewriting the web tool that is part of the project. You might have noticed this tool if you click through the links on the project assessment summary tables.
We'd like to collect information on how the current tool is used by....you! How do you yourself and the other maintainers of your project use the web tool? Which of its features do you need? How frequently do you use these features? And what features is the tool missing that would be useful to you? We have collected all of these questions at this Google form where you can leave your response. Walkerma (talk) 04:25, 27 October 2019 (UTC)
Adding Boxboy as a series
Hello there! I'd like to formally propose the idea of adding the boxboy series to the "Major articles by game franchise" list. There are now four games in the series, and I feel like Nintendo acknowledges it more than some of the series already listed, so I felt it could be a worthy addition. Plus, I don't know how to edit the section to add it in manually. Thoughts? ShalomSir (talk) 16:48, 25 October 2019 (UTC)
- @ShalomSir: I vote in support of your comment. Good idea. -Bchill53 (talk) 21:14, 19 December 2019 (UTC)
Super Smash Bros. Characters
I probably already know the answer to this question, which is no, but should there be independent articles for all the play able characters in Ultimate? I'm already working on one, but for different reasons, I wouldn't mind working on others. Captain Galaxy (talk) 15:43, 22 May 2020 (UTC)
- Characters_in_the_Super_Smash_Bros._series already exists. --Izno (talk) 16:03, 22 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Izno: I meant independent articles, so ones for the characters that don't have their own article, like Byleth. Captain Galaxy (talk) 19:21, 23 May 2020 (UTC)
- Do you have sources for each topic? --Izno (talk) 00:16, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
- I remember somebody else trying to do this too sometime last year, but they obviously must have ran into the same issue of lacking sources. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 18:27, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Dissident93: Thanks for letting me know, that probably saved me a lot of time. Captain Galaxy (talk) 20:04, 24 May 2020 (UTC)

Adding Clubhouse Games as a series
Greetings! I've been pondering on whether or not there should be a Clubhouse Games on the "Major articles by game franchise" list as there are currently two games now. For those wondering, I'm working on a draft for 51 Worldwide Classics, I'm just waiting on reviews for the game. This post is mainly for discussion as I don't want to do something this drastic without consulting others. Thanks! Captain Galaxy (talk) 22:23, 29 May 2020 (UTC)
- Eh.....I'm not sure if I agree with it. I don't see this as being a "major franchise", as it's only two games spaced out by several years. Namcokid47 (Contribs) 01:47, 3 June 2020 (UTC)
- @Captain Galaxy: Thanks for your efforts in creating the game's article :) However, I have to agree that I don't really think it's classifiable as a major franchise. ~ Arkhandar (message me) 23:36, 3 June 2020 (UTC)
- @Arkhandar: I was wondering, is there a section for minor Nintendo franchises on this wikiproject? Captain Galaxy (talk) 14:43, 4 June 2020 (UTC)
- @Captain Galaxy: Currently, not that I know of. I'd invite you to create one if you'd like though :) ~ Arkhandar (message me) 16:34, 5 June 2020 (UTC)
- @Arkhandar: I have now made it. It is still a work in progress. Captain Galaxy (talk) 22:39, 5 June 2020 (UTC)

Credible Sources For A Nookazon Article
Hi all. I'm creating an article on Nookazon, the fan trading site for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. I submitted my draft but was rejected due to a lack of credible sources. Does anyone know what kind of sources I could use for something like this? The article draft is here: https://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Draft:Nookazon. Squid45 (talk) 12:04, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
Super Smash Bros Template
Is there a template for Super Smash Brothers? If not, should there be? Squid45 (talk) 17:01, 29 July 2020 (UTC)
- Yes there are two. Template:Super Smash Bros. and Template:Competitive Super Smash Bros. Captain Galaxy (talk) 09:07, 30 July 2020 (UTC)
Great, thanks Squid45 (talk) 10:29, 30 July 2020 (UTC)
Input on Genre
For anyone interested, there is a consensus being held at Talk:Paper Mario: The Origami King#Poll for genre to see if The Origami King is primarily a role-playing video game or it just has elements of a role-playing video game. More information is held at the talk page. Thanks for the input! Captain Galaxy (talk) 20:45, 30 July 2020 (UTC)
Chibi-Robo!
I'm not entirely sure why this is listed as a major game series. While there have been several entries, the series is marked as low-importance, which is fairly proper for a series that has been, generally, mixed in terms of critical reception and, according to Nintendo, largely unsuccessful. - Bryn (talk) (contributions) 23:33, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
- I believe its due to the fact that the series is recurring. It is a major game series after all; like, Duck Hunt won't have its own section. Quantity over quality! Le Panini (Talk tome?) 00:02, 27 October 2020 (UTC)
New franchises to consider adding
I feel it would be valuable to add Custom Robo and, possibly, Puzzle League. Certainly the former, and maybe the latter, due to lacking Planet Puzzle League and Panel de Pon. - Bryn (talk) (contributions) 23:50, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
- Custom Robo would make sense. I see Tetris Attack being on here too, but it seems that Puzzle League is the series' successor, and these two would probably be bunched together. Le Panini (Talk tome?) 00:10, 27 October 2020 (UTC)
Mario 64 FA review
I have nominated Super Mario 64 for a featured article review here. Please join the discussion on whether this article meets featured article criteria. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. If substantial concerns are not addressed during the review period, the article will be moved to the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Delist" the article's featured status. The instructions for the review process are here. HumanxAnthro (talk) 18:29, 13 March 2021 (UTC)
Developer citation concern
Hello.
Recently, I've been digging through the articles of more contemporary Nintendo game releases and found a reoccurring lack of citation for the involvement of co-developers in various respective pages. Digging through releases since 2018 on the Nintendo EPD page made it evident that the matter hasn't just been occasional. When bringing this up on EPD's talk page, a response from an editor also made mention of another complaint of note in the attribution of development to the division if Nintendo has any internal involvement with the games at all. With this having been brought to my attention, I'd begun to notice that attributions to Nintendo EAD and Nintendo SPD were similarly made without any citations at all.
Taken all together, I feel this represents a rampant and major lack of diligence with regard to sourcing. Of course, if the developer were only listed as Nintendo, many of the indirect sources already available in many of these situations would be sufficient, but the particularity of specific internal department designations is something that should reasonably be cited. This is leaving aside the aforementioned cases involving support studios and co-development partners who are also matter-of-factly presented despite situations where they aren't regarded in typical press coverage, promotional material, or even splash-screens for the games. These also can go to the extent of being off-handedly presented in footnotes with their role, which is a degree of specificity that makes for even more needed references that aren't provided.
I'll be trying to do my part where possible here and there, especially in more egregious cases, but the extent of it is broad enough that I figured bringing it to the attention of a place like this would be far more fruitful than pursuing the individual talk-pages of these games or making further comments on those of the individual departments. I think that this is a matter worth investigating to ensure future articles can avoid being plagued with similar issues and hope that others who feel similarly might be able to keep an eye out or take more constructive action.
Thank you very much to you editors who've read this for your time and effort. Take care. Fact Scanner (talk) 22:51, 12 April 2021 (UTC)
