Promotional links soliciting applications
editWould others in the project agree with me that the links at Miss Earth 2021#Upcoming national pageants, especially https://divinebeautyindia.com/apply-now/, are promotional and should be removed? ☆ Bri (talk) 22:55, 30 June 2021 (UTC)
- Yes they should be removed as they are promotional Sciencefish (talk) 20:11, 25 April 2023 (UTC)

Considering using the more used/famous names of the contestants rather than using their whole names
editGood day! I would like to discuss the format of names of the contestants especially at the articles at Miss World. There is a big difference with the name format of the contestants in the Miss World articles for the 1980s and 1990s, and of the 2000s and 2010s, with the 1980s and 1990s using the "whole name format" whereas the 2000s and 2010s use the shortened more known version of the candidates' names. I personally think that we should use the shortened version of their names rather than the their whole names, since this might cause a confusion especially if the contestant is well known in her stage name or a nickname.
I would like to hear some of your thoughts so that we could make a consensus. Thank you! Allyriana000 (talk) 06:34, 5 February 2023 (UTC)
- Hello there, do you want to impose or establish the rules regarding the short names in all pageant articles? Raymarcbadz (talk) 03:42, 11 February 2023 (UTC)
- I suggest that we create articles of the Miss World or Miss Universe contestants if we want their names shortened in the table. Raymarcbadz (talk) 03:43, 11 February 2023 (UTC)
- The problem with that is many of the contestants aren't deemed notable since many went back to having normal lives. What I have in mind instead is to leave their longer names to the articles of their national pageants since those articles are linked to their respective country/territory in the Contestants table.
