Move (series of articles)

edit

I have noticed that there are a series of articles linked on Andhra Pradesh Council of Ministers#State current cabinet, that include all the state departments. However, the article titles are inconsistent. Therefore, I request the members of the Wikiproject to reach a consensus and rename these articles to maintain uniformity.

We could standardise them in one of the following formats, for example:

  • Department of Mines and Geology (Andhra Pradesh)
  • Ministry of Mines and Geology (Andhra Pradesh)
  • List of Ministers of Mines and Geology of Andhra Pradesh

Noting that I was directed to this discussion because I found a number of page moves which I did not agree with. I've reverted a number of page which were associated with the "List of ministers of..." titles, as the previous titles seemed more appropriate based on the current scope and information in the articles. The pages are focused on lists of ministers of the departments, not focused on the departments themselves while also including a list of the ministers. @Hey man im josh Some articles are titled as "List of ministers of XYZ of Andhra Pradesh", while others are titled as "List of XYZ ministers of Andhra Pradesh". Which format do you think is more appropriate, considering the articles focus solely on the list of ministers? In my opinion, "List of XYZ ministers of Andhra Pradesh" is the better choice grammatically, as it is concise, clear and avoids redundancy. 456legendtalk 02:45, 14 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
