Wikipedia talk:Today's featured article/November 3, 2014
This "featured article" begins with a howler of a grammatical error:
"The Bivalvia comprise a class of marine and freshwater molluscs..."
'Comprise' is synonymous with 'include' or 'contain'. Substitute either one of those words and see how nonsensical that sentence truly is. It's an example of what I would call 'false erudition'.
Much better to have written simply: "The Bivalvia are a class of marine and freshwater molluscs..."
