Flag of Belarus query
edit@Gog the Mild: I placed Flag of Belarus on WP:TFAP for July 3, since that is Belarus Independence Day. Would we like to hold off until then? Z1720 (talk) 02:29, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
- Apologies Z1720, I missed that. If that is you preference, then by all means let us delay it. Gog the Mild (talk) 12:59, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
- Given the ill-feeling toward Belarus at present, maybe it's a good idea to hold off a year?--Wehwalt (talk) 16:36, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
- @Wehwalt: I don't mind holding off, although my "Wikipedia is not censored" part of me is a little reluctant. Another option is to consider the article for 10 February, which is the anniversary of the current flag's design being unveiled. Perhaps the situation in Ukraine and eastern Europe will be different then. Z1720 (talk) 16:50, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
- Wikipedia is not censored, but I've been here getting on for 20 years, long enough to know that the community can get strong views about something and it's best not to stand in front of the train.--Wehwalt (talk) 16:58, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
- And if it is decided to stand in front of that train, best be sure the article is water tight ... it's been a while since we looked at it. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 17:24, 9 April 2022 (UTC)

@Gog the Mild: I was planning to add Interstate 182 to WP:TFAP for a November 2024 date to commemorate the bridge's 40th anniversary. Would it be possible to remove it from the queue for May? SounderBruce 20:56, 10 April 2022 (UTC)
- It would. I'll replace it with Interstate 196, if you could give that a look over quality wise I would be grateful. Gog the Mild (talk) 21:05, 10 April 2022 (UTC)
Image for Eduard Fraenkel
edit@Gog the Mild: would it make sense to use the image of a bust of Aeschylus that's in the article for the blurb? This came to mind because I noticed that Aeschylus is mentioned in the blurb. Best, Modussiccandi (talk) 16:39, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
- Good thinking. Done. Gog the Mild (talk) 16:47, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
Gog the Mild kindly notified me that the 1838 Jesuit slave sale had been scheduled for May 22, 2022. I was waiting to nominate it at TFAR for June 19 (had it in my own queue), since that is a date that has a significant connection to the article. I was just waiting for the TFAR nomination window to open for that date. I would kindly request that it be rescheduled for June 19. In the meantime, I'll take a look at the blurb. - Sure, no problem. It is a good idea to use Wikipedia:Today's featured article/requests/pending for potential requests outside this month's window. Gog the Mild (talk) 22:00, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
Turtle was supposed to be the 23th
editWhat gives? I listed turtle for May 23rd not the 24th. The 23th is World Turtle Day! Whatever connection that date has with the Geology of the Lassen volcanic area, I called the date first so its not fair. Now the date makes no sense. LittleJerry (talk) 23:47, 16 April 2022 (UTC)
- I don't think anyone will care if Lassen is moved. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 00:09, 17 April 2022 (UTC)
- I'm not a TFA scheduler so I can't move it. LittleJerry (talk) 00:24, 17 April 2022 (UTC)
- Lassen was also originally requested for May 22, see this prior version of TFA/R. Edmund I also died on May 26, so that date might be more significant for that article. My suggestion is to have these articles appear on the following dates:
- May 22: Lassen
- May 23: Turtle
- May 24: Seagram
- May 26: Edmund I
- Thoughts? Z1720 (talk) 01:01, 17 April 2022 (UTC)

Yes. I agree. LittleJerry (talk) 01:20, 17 April 2022 (UTC)
