Wikipedia talk:Challenges
Category?
editSurprisingly, this page is lacking a category. Does anyone know which is the most accurate category this page should belong to? --Siva1979Talk to me 02:50, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

How Are...?
editHey, I was just sort of wondering how the articles here are selected. I mean, is a new article randomly found to replace a challenge that is completed or what? If you need an article suggestions, I'd suggest 2006 in politics which needs some major expansion, and needs to be updated daily.--andrewI20Talk 21:52, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
Also, who updates Recent Changes—Challenges? Those articles don't match this page (which truly is stuck in a tiny, abitrary corner of its own). –Outriggr § 06:40, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

New Article(s)
editI have a new article I'd like to add, or rather several articles on the same subject. Do I just add it in or what? --Scorpios 21:38, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
- Click edit page and add it to the invisible queue at the bottom of the page. Please place it below the pages currently in line. Thanks Scottydude 15:20, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
Pages
editI think it is time to remove Polar Regions the article is better now. MUN Society Belgium however is a disaster. Scottydude 15:21, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
I second this motion for Polar Regions deletion -- danieljackson (tlk) (cntrbtns) 06:10, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
removal of Völuspá from the queue
editI removed Völuspá from the queue because it lacked an explanation of what the challenge was. If the person who added it tells us what they want done, feel free to add it back. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Wikipediatoperfection (talk • contribs) 06:27:40, August 19, 2007 (UTC).
10 Articles on front page
edit4 was an arbitrary number. Why not 10? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Wikipediatoperfection (talk • contribs) 06:35:45, August 19, 2007 (UTC).
Old challenges
editHere are some old challenges that I took off, as they'd been up for ages. -- phoebe/(talk) 04:50, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
Find sources. Blackquest.com (http://www.blackquest.com) is a useful site.
Expand main bio.
Needs lots more information and needs a tie in with Vincennes, Indiana as he played an important role there. Some sites you might try

Expand, find sources. Recent article in Astronomy (magazine) is helpful.
Expand. Very hard to find encyclopedic information that isn't from their website or original research. notability is not an issue, just take a look at the band's page. Just hard to find info.
Please Expand. A very key scientist, lacking sufficient resources. Very hard to find encycolpedic information that isn't from their website or original research.
A historically important disease with a rather neglected article. Could be expanded greatly.
Expand. It has been a stub for quite some time.
Article needs cleaning and expanding.
Article needs expanding. This is very important topic in Military intelligence. It a has profound impact on countless people's lives.
Since there seems to be a backlog...
edit... shouldn't the "challenge list" extend at least to the bottom edge of the "Resources" template... or, better yet, start rotating the "challenges" in the same fashion as the article requests seem to be? 147.70.242.40 (talk) 02:09, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
Template
editPerhaps there should be a template for challenges... "This article was a challenge on such and such a day."Smallman12q (talk) 18:50, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
- Regarding the request at Wikipedia:Requested templates,
- I suggest that it would not be appropriate to add a template to the article, as it is an internal Wikipedia thing and not something a reader needs to see
- I have created {{WPChallenges}} for use on talk pages. You may like to adjust the options to suit your project (full documentation at {{WPBannerMeta}}).
- Hope this helps, Martin 22:46, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
Added from?
edit"New articles may be added from the queue in the bottom of this page's source once these have been removed."
I don't get the idea of "adding from" something.
I also don't get "new articles". Are they recently created, to be created, or ideas added to a list of proposals for articles?
I understand the idea of a queue having a beginning and an end, but not a top or bottom. "Bottom" must refer to "the bottom of the page", not "the queue in the bottom". The articles probably aren't removed, just their mention in a list. To what should they be added?
It's a good thing I'm so dense, or this problem might never have been noticed! Unfree (talk) 16:42, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
