September saw two members of WikiProject Military history receive their first A-Class medals; congratulations to EnigmaMcmxc and Maile66!
This month sees book reviews by Anotherclown and Sturmvogel 66 on, respectively, the role of Australian airmen in World War I and the British Mediterranean Fleet in the decade after the war, while Auntieruth55 has penned a review essay on the French Revolutionary Wars covering the time between the fall of King Louis XVI and the Fall of Emperor Napoleon I. TomStar81 continues his op-ed series on World War I, discussing the entry of the Kingdom of Bulgaria into World War I, and the timeline for this month in World War I.
Elections for the XV Coordinator Tranche concluded 29 September. Veteran Coordinator Sturmvogel was elected our new Lead Coordinator, taking over the position from Ian Rose. Nine other Coordinators, all of them veteran editors with previous Coordinator experience, were also elected, the lowest total since 2008.
AustralianRupert topped the the quarterly WikiProject Military history review tally for July to September with a total of 43 FA, A-Class, Peer and GA reviews. Great effort! Six more editors were awarded the WikiChevrons for completing more than 14 reviews in the quarter.
The contest department completed its 99th round of competition last month. A total of 24 articles were submitted by six editors. First place went to Lineagegeek, with 36 points from 10 entries to receive the Chevrons, followed by Parsecboy, who earned the Writer's Barnstar with 33 points from five entries. Honourable mentions go to Peacemaker67 (30 points), and Djmaschek (18 points). Auntieruth55 and Catlemur also fielded entries.
