The Royal House of Hamsteria is an institution created in 1999 to recognize hamsters and all their hamstery things. All Syrian hamsters are related and this particular family is a symbol of Hamsters worldwide 👑.

Although the family does not hold any power, they represent peace of nature.

Hamsterberg

Hamsterberg is the capital of Hamsteria. Over 100,000 Hamsterians live in this city.

History of the Royal Family

The Royal Family of the Royal House of Hamsteria was born in December 1999 in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and other realms until 2023, where a period of radical political and societal change in Hamsteria led to a brutal civil war that led to the presidency of His Excellency Idi Amin T. RAT

1999—2020

Throughout the reign of the family, many things have changed. During the reign of King Roadrunner I there wasn't an institution or anything, only a small paper crown.

This all changed with the reign of Queen Tiny III who introduced the Church Royal, a new church filled with luxurious drapes, flags, boxes, carpets, books and a new crown.

As the different monarchs succeeded the Church was improved and then the Parlour of Rest was introduced and added to the church upon the reign of Queen Tiny IV, here the coffin of the deceased monarch lies in state for 3 days.

Then major changes came during the reign's of Roadrunner III & IV, a new gold crown was purchased from London in November 2004 replacing the old crown, the old crown was refurbished and now used as a personal princely crown and then again a new total Gold red silk crown was bought in July 2004 from London, replacing the previous November crown and is still used today.

All of the old crowns are kept in the Parlour of Rest whilst the Princely and Sovereign crowns are kept in the Royal Church.

In 2004 upon the reign Queen Tiny IV Church Royal was abolished and replaced by the new Royal House which is now used today and which all Royalty are apart of.

The pandemic of 2020 led to the Hamsterian population decreasing by -10%. Unfortunately, HRH King Roadrunner Royal V, who had ruled for 15 whole years, contracted COVID and was placed under isolation and handed over the kingdom to his son, HRH Warren Roadrunner Royal I, due to not being able to attend court.

2021 Hamsterian Crisis

HRH Warren claimed on January 2021 that he had crushed an attempted Coup D'etat, which has drawn controversy over whether or not it was real or if it was staged so the new King could court public sympathy. The King claims that assassins have tried to drown him in a cup of apple juice, but some guards saw him and fished him out. Critics of the Government have pointed out that HRH Warren is a very big hamster, and knows how to swim, so it's rather unlikely he could seriously have been stuck. The King has tried numerous Hamsterian Politicians in Court, drawing more criticism from foreign observers, who suggest he may be trying to use the Coup as an excuse to exercise and consolidate his authority. Five hamsters so far have been sentenced to life imprisonment, and the Royal Court has implied it might use the death penalty for some convicted criminals.

International uproar has ensued, which HRH Warren responded with by leaving the International Criminal Court. After the U.N. threatened to place sanctions as a punishment, HRH Warren Royal Roadrunner I passed a controversial bill ending Hamsteria's membership in the United Nations. A crisis followed and a brief 20-Day Rebellion against the Prince occurred. The rebels, backed by the U.N., were eventually crushed despite putting up a brave resistance via Guerrilla War, and so the "Honorary Republic of Hamsteria" declared by the rebels never came into fruition, although being recognized by 24 countries.

The U.N. is now undergoing negotiations with Hamsteria after the 20-Day War, and is hoping to form a compromise in which Hamsteria may be given a "Special Status" at the U.N. A final agreement has not yet been reached.

Shortly after the crisis, in 2023 a military leader began a civil war, ending in the Royal Family being replaced by His Excellency Idi Amin T. RAT, the first president of Hamsteria. It is unknown if this is connected to the war.

On 15th November 2024, an unknown hamster attempted to assassinate the president. The bullet missed, and the hamster was given a lifetime sentence.

Government of Hamsteria

Upon the reign of King Roadrunner IV (2005), on 17 November the Community Hamsteria Constitution was written adding but not replacing Royal House, a new institution to Hamsteria; the Government of Hamsteria.

The New Government of Hamsteria currently governed by HM King Roadrunner IV, was introduced to take absolute power from the monarch and share it halfway, this giving the Hamsteria Community of Hamsters greater freedom and rights in the community, all hamsters members of the community before this was awarder titles by the monarch only and obeyed monarch-made laws. Mike Carter is their leader

The Governor of the government is to be elected once per 6 months and only ONE set of laws are allowed to be passed during the rule, although the monarch now has to negotiate all laws passed with the Governor first and is NOT allowed to abolish institutions or create without Government approval.

The constitution is as follows:

'For the Hamsters, God and the Law shall the Hamsteria Government be formed, with the KING and the GOVERNOR sharing equal right of power of law'

This act was created and in a ceremony of the Royal Family the new 'Seat of Power' building opened by King Roadrunner IV, who is the first Governor of the constitutional monarchy.

The post of governor was abolished by HM King Warren Roadrunner Royal I after consulting the community at large as the post had become redundant (owing to no awareness among the hamster population regarding Hamsteria).

Royal Coronation

On the proclamation of a new monarch this is read before the crown be placed:

IN THE NAME OF ALMIGHTY GOD, WE CROWN YOU..., although during Church Royal a different speech was used. It numbered too many words to list here without irritation to the reader.

The title service, gives Hamsters who have reigned along time, done good deeds etc. a title to their name under the Community of Hamsteria, this applies to ALL members of the Community.

The Hamsteria Community consists of the Royal House Branch (Royal Family), and the Government of Hamsteria Branch (Government), both governing the community with an equal share of power; NEITHER can be abolished with out total agree of the Community and both branches.

Aviation in Hamsteria

History

Hamsteria aviation had first developed in June 2000, when HamstaviaAir was launched, and had only 7 fleet composed of B737s and DC-9s, all of which were destroyed in 2001 when one mechanic had rolled his hamster wheel across Hamsterburg International Airport, which destroyed the aircrafts landing gears and caused HamstaviaAir to go bankrupt. The airline was remade in 2003. These are the destinations of HamstaviaAir below around 2004

On the other hand, the Hamsteria Air Force has been operating since December 1999, and has specialiced in bringing military, haystack, hamster wheels, missles and clothing ever since, with 89 Hamster pilots joining since the commencement of the Air Force. By 2005 HamstaviaAir bought 3 ATR-42s and 1 Antonov An-12, with 25 Hamster pilots, who have been the pilots in and out doing their job at Moscow Sheremetyevo, being hired as the An-12 pilots.

The first foreign flight at Hamsteria arrived on 10 January 2006 at Hamsterburg International, which was a British Airways 777 flight from Heathrow, with 260 occupants, registration G-1002.

The airline had gotten its first crash in 2008, when a Boeing 737(registration:HM:Jolly)plunged into the trees near the city of Hamsterburg. The plane had been piloted by a 6-month old hamster named Hammy Hatedogs, as the captain along with 5 and a half year old hamster named Ranger Sillyspot, as the copilot. Aboard was 2 British people, 6 hamsters, one ostrich, one crane, and one peacock, with a rat from Italy and a British mouse also aboard, along with 6 cabin crew. The aircraft also carried cargo, mostly haystacks with a hamster wheel. Only the crane and 2 hamster passengers survived. The investigators at HAIB (Hamsteria Aviation Investigation Board)concluded that an illusion caused the pilots to like it when their view of the cockpit inverted, causing them to plunge their aircraft.

IMPACT

Later in January 2009 Hamstavia Express launched, which is a low-cost subsidiary of Hamstavia to compete with EasyJet and RyanAir, having a fleet of 3 ATR-42s and 4 Saab 340s. Later at Febuary 2009 Squeaksky Airways launched as a competitor, having a fleet of Boeing 737s and ATR 42s.

During a flight however by Hamstavia's ATR 42 in 2010, a rat hijacked the cockpit and threathened the 16 passengers and 4 crew aboard to land the plane at a forest;the rat was arrested and put to jail for 3 years;the captain and one passenger were slightly injured. The plane's tail was scratched and the engines had been punctured, and was turned into an artificial reef. The artficial reef was destroyed after 2 Hamster workers accidentally poured radioactive orange juice on the planes surface, destroying it and melting the fish

On October 2016 Air Mouse, a low cost airline, launched, and all Squeaksky Airways planes were grounded for a brief moment in the 2020 COVID pandemic.

Television

Television in Hamsteria was first launched on 30 September 1999, when HTV1 and HTV2 (short for Hamsteria Television) launched. The announcement of the launch was:

HTV1 was first launched on the Hamstra satellite, which also included YLETV1 and YLETV2 for some reason, and HTV1 launched at 7:35 AM on 30 September 1999 with the show Early Hamster Gets The Seed. The list of programs for HTV1 is:

HTV2 would then launch at lunch, and since childerens TV was limited in Hamsteria, HTV2 aired cartoons at day and medieval things at night, and HTV1 is the main broadcaster. Both channels were analogue. Around Febuary 2000 Grampian TV launched on Hamstra. By 2001 the entertainment network company Hamsatel launched.
