Reason: Good, clean, illustrative picture, with high resolution. BTW, in the past there were two FPs of this subject but they were both delisted (1, 2).

Comment there are many Buddhabrot renders, of which there are some very high quality ones. For example, the Alternative 1 is of the exact same thing with the same number of iterations, except at a much higher resolution of 8000x8000 (albeit lossy); a smaller PNG version with alpha channel also exists.
