editNichols is from Selby in North Yorkshire.[1]
Career
editNichols is UNISON Yorkshire and Humberside Regional Convenor and Branch Secretary, and a Labour Councillor.[2]
She was nominated for a life peerage in December 2024 by Prime Minister Keir Starmer for the Labour Party.[2]
Honours
editIn the 2024 Birthday Honours, Nichols was awarded an OBE for political service.[3]
