A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Kings Hand.jpeg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for discussion. Speedy deletion nomination of File:Kings Hand.jpeg
A tag has been placed on File:Kings Hand.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a file licensed as "for non-commercial use only", "no derivative use", "for Wikipedia use only", or "used with permission"; and it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:
- state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
- add the relevant copyright tag and if necessary, a complete fair use rationale.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. COI Edit Request for Poet
Hi User:Yitzilitt:
I see you are an active editor, and a member of the Wikipedia:WikiProject Poetry. I am working in a COI relationship with poet and musician Larry Beckett and was wondering if you could help me with some proposed edits/updates to his page. Currently his page is heavy on his music life and light on the poetry, even though he is a poet who has also written songs (most notably with Tim Buckley). He is about to have his life's work (47 years in the making) published and we would like to represent his poetry appropriately in the article. A few other things will be updated as well, including adding/replacing better sources. I have posted my first requests on his page. Can you let me know if you have time and the inclination to assist me with this? I'd greatly appreciate your time and consideration, as would Larry. It is always my goal to improve Wikipedia and adhere to its rules. Best,LeepKendall (talk) 18:00, 27 January 2021 (UTC)
- @LeepKendall: Howdy! I would definitely be willing to help you out with this, though it may take me a few days to get to. Wishing you and Larry well! Yours, Yitz (talk) 21:31, 27 January 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you SO much User:Yitzilitt. No worries. I may keep adding edits and you can get to them when you can. Our goal is to have the page updated by the time his book comes out in April. Best. LeepKendall (talk) 23:22, 27 January 2021 (UTC)
- Hi User:Yitzilitt: I just wanted to check and see if you are still interested in working on Larry Beckett's page. If so, I could really use your help. Thank you! LeepKendall (talk) 19:12, 8 February 2021 (UTC)

Joel S. Levine moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, Joel S. Levine, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. CUPIDICAE💕 01:42, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
- Praxidicae, may I ask what your reason was for moving the Joel S. Levine article to draftspace? You said that it needs more citations, but the article currently has over 70 citations from independent sources ranging from the New York Times to Popular Mechanics. Would you mind clarifying why exctly you decided to DRAFTIFY it? Yitz (talk) 02:04, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
- I moved the article back, hope you don't mind. This clearly doesn't need draftspace. Elliot321 (talk | contribs) 03:07, 8 February 2021 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions. It seems that you may have added public domain content to one or more Wikipedia articles, such as Draft:Arlene Levine. You are welcome to import appropriate public domain content to articles, but in order to meet the Wikipedia guideline on plagiarism, such content must be fully attributed. This requires not only acknowledging the source, but acknowledging that the source is copied. There are several methods to do this described at Wikipedia:Plagiarism#Public-domain sources, including the usage of an attribution template. Please make sure that any public domain content you have already imported is fully attributed. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 11:14, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
On my personal relationship with Joel S. Levine
In the process of writing the article Joel S. Levine, I reached out to to the subject to let him know about my work on his work. We've since developed a friendly relationship over email and phone, and Dr. Levine has recently been kind enough to send me some NASA paraphernalia as a thank-you of sorts, which I gladly accepted. I discussed this with some senior Wikipedia editors over Discord, and I was told that this does not qualify as WP:CONFLICT, and doesn't need to be disclosed here. Nonetheless, I'd feel uncomfortable if I didn't mention this at least somewhere on Wikipedia, as I want to be as transparent as possible in my editing process (within reason, of course). If anyone has any concerns or wants to discuss this further, please feel free to leave a signed comment below. Yitz (talk) 05:38, 18 February 2021 (UTC)

WP:AFC Helper News
Hello! I wanted to drop a quick note for all of our AFC participants; nothing huge and fancy like a newsletter, but a few points of interest.
- AFCH will now show live previews of the comment to be left on a decline.
- The template {{db-afc-move}} has been created - this template is similar to {{db-move}} when there is a redirect in the way of an acceptance, but specifically tells the patrolling admin to let you (the draft reviewer) take care of the actual move.
Short and sweet, but there's always more to discuss at WT:AFC. Stop on by, maybe review a draft on the way? Whether you're one of our top reviewers, or haven't reviewed in a while, I want to thank you for helping out in the past and in the future. Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Rotigotine into Disappearing polymorphs. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 19:46, 9 July 2022 (UTC)

Thank you for your great description of what it's like to start an article. I know it took a lot of time and effort, and I really appreciate it. Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 20:37, 18 July 2022 (UTC) |
- @Whatamidoing (WMF) thank you! I was thinking about it, and was wondering if it might make sense write up a version of this for the Signpost. Do you think doing so would be worthwhile? Yitz (talk) 21:25, 2 August 2022 (UTC)
- I don't know what the Signpost's rules are, but if they don't want it, then there is definitely room to preserve it at MediaWiki.org.
- BTW, I shared the link with two of the WMF's designers, who say thanks and that your post was "very insightful". Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 22:57, 2 August 2022 (UTC)

Nepenthe (video game) needs more edit.
If you are a video game developer, you should edit your own page (Nepenthe) about plots, developments, and reception. I cannot allow to edit more for your page because I'm busy for working on my game and wiki page. If not, it will result of a deletion or as a stub. Fortunewriter (talk) 06:25, 4 November 2022 (UTC)
