Speedy deletion warning

edit

A tag has been placed on Black Pride (Gang), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be a biographical account about a person, group of people, or band, but it does not indicate how or why he/she/they is/are notable. If you can indicate why Black Pride (Gang) is really notable, I advise you to edit the article promptly, and also put a note on Talk:Black Pride (Gang). Any admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. You might also want to read our general biography criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that admins should wait a while for you to assert his/her/their notability, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and then immediately add such an assertion. It is also a very good idea to add citations from reliable sources to ensure that your article will be verifiable. MER-C 10:44, 24 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Notability of Bang (nightclub)

edit

A tag has been placed on Bang (nightclub), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Mattinbgn/ talk 20:31, 4 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Lara Kappler

edit

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Lara Kappler, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Dutch Australian

edit

This article, which you made, is now being considered for deletion. While your contributions are appreciated, this article is believed to not be appropriate for inclusion on wikipedia. You may see the deletion debate here. Please do not take the request for deletion personally, or take its deletion (if it is, infact, deleted) too harshly. Good luck --Anonymous Dissident Utter 14:00, 10 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi Yamama3000. Thanks for placing the {{hangon}} tag on the above article. As the article is not a candidate for speedy deletion I have removed the tag. You can follow the link to the discussion left by Anonymous Dissident above to have your say. I would say it is likely the article will be kept. -- Mattinbgn/ talk 07:42, 11 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Spam in The Green Room (venue)

edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on The Green Room (venue), by Grahamec (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because The Green Room (venue) is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting The Green Room (venue), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate The Green Room (venue) itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 03:25, 26 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hispanics in Australia and Chilean Australian issues

edit

Hello! The reason I added the unreferenced and POV tags on these particular articles is due to the fact that the statements provided does not provide references or footnotes such as facts or citations to support claims. I have no issues towards that country or the Chilenos, but I am only doing my job, to rid POV's in articles and provide an accurate informations in all articles as much as possible. If, up to dated references is provided, then you can remove the tags. Thanks! - Ramírez 01:15 June 30, 2007 (UTC)

Notability of Nicole Stubbins

edit

A tag has been placed on Nicole Stubbins requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Jasynnash2 (talk) 12:44, 22 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs

edit

Hello Yamama3000! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 10 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Jasmin Geisel - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Natalie Hill - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Proposed deletion of Gibraltarian Australian

edit

The article Gibraltarian Australian has been proposed for deletion. The proposed-deletion notice added to the article should explain why.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi. When you recently edited Fiesta de la Hispanidad, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Fitzroy (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

The article Lists of Australian locations with large ethnic community has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

given that each and every person in the country is of an ethnicity one may conclude that all localities have a community of 100% of various ethnicities, rendering this article inherently illogical

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

@Yamama3000: I have added sources to address the issue initially brought up and to prevent the deletion of the page. Most of them however, are not in the preferred references template but they still address the issue nevertheless. (101.160.160.144 (talk) 00:08, 10 May 2017 (UTC))Reply

Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution

edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from List of Italian-American neighborhoods into List of Italian-Australian communities. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was moved, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 13:15, 30 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Fiesta de la Hispanidad

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Fiesta de la Hispanidad, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
