However, if you are going to do that you cannot copy and paste her CV from an external website; even though some of it was paraphrased, it was far too close to let go. Only if you can establish verifiability using independent, third-party, reliable sources. We do not take the subject's word for their accomplishments. We use self-published pages from the subject only for personal data such as date and place of birth, residence, etc. If you can establish the facts through reliable independent third-party sources, then the criteria for academics would apply. Ok, so I forgot to add a source for this tiny contribution. It may appear a quick solution to simply delete unsourced contributions, rather than making the effort of amending another user's slight. In the long run, however, such unforgiving practice frustrates well-intentioned authors, not just women, and discourages further participation. Verifying and adding missing sources may be an annoying chore, but it immediately improves the article, and it establishes a work atmosphere that benefits the WP project at large. Hi, I just had a look at this article and it looks like a cut-and-paste from the German WP. This is fine, provided that proper attribution is given. For this, you should put the {{translated page}} template on the article's talk page. In addition, the translation if far from complete. For example, you left things like [[John O'Keefe (Neurowissenschaftler)|John O'Keefe]], which gives a redlink (of course, because we don't use German disambiguators), but who has an article (unsurprisingly, as he got a Nobel Prize last Monday): [[John O'Keefe (neuroscientist)|John O'Keefe]]. The same goes for names of institutions and universities, which often have articles here, but under their English names, which here are more appropriate than the German names, of course. Thanks for your contribution, I didn't know this foundation and I found its history interesting. The Foreign Area Officers Association which advertised that luncheon with Nagata in Fort McNair along with his bio is tied to the U.S. Navy's Naval Postgraduate School, so I find it only reasonable to assume that such an organization on such an occasion would publish Nagata's official military bio which as a work of the USG is in the public domain. What is your alternative explanation, a scenario which would constitute a copyright claim to a list of dates and ranks?
