A friendly word of caution
Hi. Some of the recent editing on Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport which you have been involved in looks like edit warring. Please be careful not to repeatedly revert edits or re-add material that has been challenged by reversion without first securing talk page consensus. Edit warring is regarded as a form of disruptive editing and can result in administrative sanctions if it persists. If you are having a content dispute there are multiple avenues for resolving the disagreement. See WP:DR for suggestions. Note: This message is being posted on the talk pages of multiple editors. I needs help for Shreya Ghoshal's article
Hi dear, since you are a Indian citizen, please can you tell me 'Kerala State Film Award' and 'Tamil Nadu State Film Award' are notible awards in India? Zafar24Talk 20:14, 25 February 2017 (UTC)
@Zafar24: Hi. If you intend to mention these awards in "Awards and nominations" section of the article Shreya Ghoshal itself, then you can't do this because these are state level awards. Only Filmfare Awards and National Film Awards must be mentioned in that section. These two awards are also notable enough to be mentioned in other sections and their count along with Filmfare Awards South is also mentioned in lead (starting paragraph) of article Shreya Ghoshal and that is perfectly fine. The songs for which Ghoshal received her first Tamil Nadu State Film Award and Kerala State Film Award are already being mentioned in "2008-14" subsection of "Music Career" section of article and that is enough.
Besides, Ghoshal has won 110+ awards. We can't mention each one on the article itself. Detailed mention of Filmfare Awards and National Film Awards and mention of count of these awards along with Filmfare Awards South in the starting paragraph is perfectly reliable and enough. There is a separate article which has full list of Awards and nominations received by Shreya Ghoshal. So, that article fulfills the informative purpose. Vibhss (talk) 17:57, 26 February 2017 (UTC)
Dear Vibhss, I already understood that, we cannot add all awards but I was not clear about that two award which a new editor had added 'Kerala State Film Award' and 'Tamil Nadu State Film Award' in lead section of Shreya Ghoshal. Can we remove this, Its already in the lead section of Shreya Ghoshal. Please see This edit (of new editor has wrote) : http://en.m.wiki.x.io/wiki/Special:MobileDiff/767036025 Zafar24Talk 18:16, 26 February 2017 (UTC)
@Zafar24: Oh! I'm sorry. Well, regarding your question I saw "good article" Rajinikanth and article K. S. Chithra (also a well-established multilingual singer like Shreya). The lead of these articles mention State film awards also alongside Filmfare and National Film Awards. So, I think these two awards must not be removed from Shreya Ghoshal lead right now as these are government awards and Ghoshal renders her voice in songs of many different Indian languages. And later if someone else remove them for some good and proper reason, we'll check. Well they must be mentioned in the lead according to me. Vibhss (talk) 19:19, 26 February 2017 (UTC)
Okay dear Vibhss. I agree with you. Thank for helping. Zafar24Talk 21:11, 26 February 2017 (UTC)
List of urban areas by population
While we are thinking about population stats, article List of urban areas by population relies mostly upon Demographia data. I have suggested adding UN figures to the list. I think they might be better - do you have an opinion on that? Batternut (talk) 16:16, 4 March 2017 (UTC)
@Batternut: Definitely, I agree with you. UN figures are most reliable and should be used on article List of urban areas by population. Vibhss (talk) 17:40, 4 March 2017 (UTC)

Question regarding writing on someone
Sir, I want to write an article of Karishma Agrahari , she's a singer by profession and is famous in lucknow city ,even she's a winner to many singing competitions and awarded by many celebs and politicians , She reached till blind auditions in The Voice (singing reality show) in Mumbai also she owns her rock band called Sacred leaf which sounds good with increasing in no of subscribers and views on you tube.... Can i write about it and if yes then how can i do so..?? Vivek agrahari (talk) 20:56, 19 March 2017 (UTC)
- @Vivek agrahari: Well, you can create the article if you have enough reliable sources to support the information in the article you want to create. For detailed procedure, you can go through Wikipedia:How to create a page. I can tell you the simplest procedure already explained in that page: Type the name of article in the search box of Wikipedia and click on search icon. If the page doesn't exist, search result will display "Page doesn't exist" with the link of name you typed in red colour. Just click on that red colored link and you will be proceeded to creation of page with name you typed. Just start typing the code and save the page. The new article is created. But remember, you have to create the article in accordance with Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines knowing the markup language used in Wikipedia. And as I said, the content in the article must be verifiable from reliable sources. Wikipedia doesn't accept poorly sourced or unsourced content and such content is liable to be removed. If whole article is poorly sourced or completely unsourced, then it may be deleted by the admministrators. Vibhss (talk) 22:47, 19 March 2017 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) @Vivek agrahari:, you should first read our general notability guideline as well as our specific guidelines for musicians. You need to properly establish that the subject is notable, which is probably the hardest aspect of article creation, and the one that is most likely to cause frustration. Simply appearing on television isn't enough, she needs to have received significant (i.e. in-depth) coverage from multiple reliable sources, not passing mentions. You should probably also consider our Articles for Creation process, which will give you an opportunity to expand the article and get it up to speed before it goes live. Creating a sub-standard article in live space puts it at much higher risk of deletion. Regards. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 22:42, 19 March 2017 (UTC)

Hello. I noticed an edit summary of yours on Ambala, where you wrote that Haryanvi isn't a language, only a regional dialect of Hindi. Well, FYI linguists don't share that opinion, and have a separate language code for it (see Haryanvi language), and in the 2000 census the Government of India also treated Haryanvi as a separate language (see this excerpt from the census results). In the latest census it was AFAIK included in Hindi, though, but according to linguists and others only in order to inflate the number of Hindi speakers for political reasons. - Tom | Thomas.W talk 22:22, 23 March 2017 (UTC)
@Thomas.W:: But Haryanavi language doesn't have official status anywhere. The primary official language of Haryana is Hindi. Check it out. I just removed Haryanavi from official section of infobox of Ambala. Vibhss (talk) 22:26, 23 March 2017 (UTC)
- I don't doubt that Hindi is the official language there, and have no intention of reverting you, from a "scientific standpoint" it isn't just a regional dialect, though, but a separate language. As are a considerable number of other separate languages in the Hindi language family that were bunched together with Hindi in the 2011 census results in order to increase the number of speakers of "Hindi" from ~260 million to ~420 million (see this). - Tom | Thomas.W talk 22:38, 23 March 2017 (UTC)
- @Thomas.W:: Please don't take me other way. Do you remember, last year I had a long debate with you regarding number of Hindi speakers. I was again and again trying to convey to you that although Census of India groups many languages under broader Hindi group (which have total 422 million speakers as per 2001 census), still it provided individual figures for "Proper Hindi" or "Standard Hindi" (with 260 million speakers) like Haryanavi, Bhojpuri, Rajasthani, Chattisgarhi etc and I wanted to update those 260 million figures. At that time, you were hellbent on keeping 1991 Ethnologue figures of 180 million saying Census has a different definition of Hindi (Of course, referring to only 422 million figure here). You didn't even try to understand my point. Now what ? In its newer edition, Ethnologue updated number of Hindi speakers to 260 million with year 2001 clearly indicated. Tweek. Finally, then our hon'ble Wikipedians updated "Standard Hindi" speakers on article Hindi. In your above defined source from Census of India site, if you found number of Haryanavi speakers, you must also have found number of Hindi speakers right next to it. It is 258 million which is approximately equal to 2001 figure of Ethnologue (260 million). What say ?
- And as you said above, "As are a considerable number of other separate languages in the Hindi language family that were bunched together with Hindi in the 2011 census results in order to increase the number of speakers of "Hindi" from ~260 million to ~420 million." I would like to correct you. Firstly, This is 2001 census data and not 2011 census. Seeondly, all Hindi languages (incl. Standard Hindi) are very much similar to each other. As a Standard Hindi speaker, I can understand most of what a person speaking in Haryanvi, Rajasthani, Braj, Awadhi or Bhojpuri or Chattisgarhi is saying. The school students in those areas are taught Hindi (that is the official language in those states) as language and not any of these Rajasthani or Awadhi or bla bla bla. You know, Hindi is lingua franca for people speaking these other Hindi languages. Thus census mix standard Hindi (260 million speakers) with other similar languages (160 million)under a larger group "Hindi" (422 million speakers). Still, I know speakers of these languages must not be mixed with those of Standard Hindi. So, are you going to accept your folly regarding previous year ? (Sorry) I am eagerly waiting for your response. Vibhss (talk) 23:20, 23 March 2017 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Muzaffarpur, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Others. Reference error in transclusions
Hi there, re: this and this edit of mine, I have moved the reference from the Global gross table down to the List of highest-grossing Telugu films for a reason. The Telugu table is being transcluded to List of highest-grossing Telugu films. Transclusion is when you have data on one page (List of highest-grossing Indian films) that is automatically replicated on another page (List of highest-grossing Telugu films). We use transclusions so that data can be maintained in one central location, instead of in multiple articles. This creates consistency across articles. If you look at the page source at List of highest-grossing Telugu films, you'll see:
- == Highest-grossing Telugu films ==
- {{:List of highest-grossing Indian films#Highest-grossing Telugu films}}
- <!--NOTE: This table is being transcluded from another article. To make changes to the table, you must edit List of highest-grossing Indian films#Highest-grossing Telugu films-->
This coding means we're sucking the content out of general India list article. If we use a reference shortcut in the Telugu table, it generates an error at List of highest-grossing Telugu films, because that page doesn't know where the reference was first defined. By moving the reference down to the Telugu table, the reference error is fixed. I hope this helps explain things. If this doesn't appeal to you, the other approach would be to use the same reference twice, but to use different "ref name" values, but that seems needlessly messy. Thanks. News18
Hi there, re: this, WP:ICTF#Guidelines on sources isn't intended to be a comprehensive list, only to generally indicate the sorts of sources that are and are not considered reliable. Naturally there will be crappy blogs that are not mentioned on the list of "don't use these" and naturally there will be good sources that are not indicated on the "please use these" list. In this case, I believe news18.com to be a sufficient source. It used to be known as CNN IBN, which was typically allowed in articles. Per their "About us" page they appear to still be owned in part by CNN, and are presumably operating according to CNN's editorial standards. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:12, 23 May 2017 (UTC)

Bahubali 2
You edited out a portion that criticised the film on the basis that it was casteist and racist. I would suggest that you look at the definition of a review.
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/review
No.6 clearly says that a review is a 'critical evaluation' : i.e. in other words an opinion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Swiftdragon5 (talk • contribs) 18:44, 25 May 2017 (UTC)
- I happened to notice this as well. The content of the critical response section needn't only come from film reviewers. If an opinion piece is printed by a major news organisation, that would be suitable. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 13:29, 26 May 2017 (UTC)
Coimbatore Airport Indigo Destinations
Hi, I see you reverting Agartala as a destination of Indigo from Coimbatore Airport page. Do note that 6E892 is being operated as CJB-MAA-CCU-IXA. Its a two-stop flight but still a direct one as flight number is same. Do check this link and also Indigo booking engine. It also seems that you ignore the message in edit summary before proceeding. --Amdmustafa (talk) 15:59, 31 May 2017 (UTC)
Meraj Airlines' Delhi to Tehran Seasonal Charter flight.
Hello Vibhss, I have one query that as you've added Meraj Airlines to the Delhi Airport's destination list, do the flights operate also? Because today I went to the airline's website and searched for the flights but it said there are no flights. Also the reference you had given for Delhi, I went to check it. But, it said "ERROR 404". So should I remove the flight from the list? Thank You! FlyJet777 (talk) 08:49, 7 June 2017 (UTC)
- @FlyJet777: Hello. Since the Meraj Airlines' flight between Tehran and Delhi is a seasonal charter (starkly different from scheduled seasonal flights), we can't expect a pre-decided/ pre-planned schedule for this flight from Meraj. But as you can see here, Delhi is mentioned as one of the destinations from Tehran Imam Khomeini International Airport. So, we can't rule out that the airline operates a flight to Delhi. Vibhss (talk) 09:59, 7 June 2017 (UTC)
Hello again. I went on the article: Tehran Imam Khomeini International Airport page and saw that Delhi to Tehran is a charter flight and not Seasonal Charter flight. Your point is true that in the Meraj Airlines website, Delhi is written in their destination list. But, the problem is the source is now not available on the website and there's no news in the press. It looks a bit complicated. Thank You! FlyJet777 (talk) 12:29, 7 June 2017 (UTC)
- @FlyJet777: Friend, I basically said that we can't find schedule for all charter flights whether they operate seasonally or throughout the year. Delhi is associated with Meraj Airlines as a charter flight destination as backed by the airline's site. Vibhss (talk) 14:24, 7 June 2017 (UTC)

Tourism in India
Someone had recently added the one-sided content,[1][2] which is prohibited by WP:NOTNEWSPAPER, because wikipedia is not a news. There are many incidents of crimes including Racism in Australia against tourists, but it doesn't means that we are going to present one sided story just to caution tourists. Now per WP:BRD you will have to discuss the content, gain consensus before. But I would say that it is not really going to work since we better keep such content on the main articles such as Crime in India and Rape in India. D4iNa4 (talk) 05:42, 16 September 2017 (UTC)
Pie charts look like squares on the phone website
I was changing the pie charts to bar graphs as the pie charts appear as squares on my phone ( my laptop is broken) and as you know that does'nt present the information in the desired form. If you know of a way to just change the phone site or a way to correct this glitch, please tell me about it Ankur Bhandari (talk) 09:03, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
@Ankur Bhandari: Even if your phone has problem in displaying the pie chart and your laptop is broken, how can you make such drastic changes here without any discussion ? Just for your convenience ? This is a public encyclopaedia and not your personal blog. The pie charts are displayed absolutely perfectly in my phone. Had there been any problem in displaying the pie charts, many senior editors would have discussed it long back. May be your phone has some problem or your internet connection is slow. Wikipedia has certain regimes which you can't change individually. There is not even scope of any discussion for your immature excuses for vandalizing so many articles. Moreover, as I said in my message on your talk page, you don't even know how to correctly round off percentages. You can open desktop site on your phone also. Go to the bottom of the concerned article on mobile Wikipedia site. In that also, you may find your problems like letters are not equal in size throughout the page and blah blah. Wikipedia can be read most efficiently in desktop only. There are many display problems in Mobile Wikipedia. Sorry but we cannot tolerate unconstructive changes for your convenience. Vibhss (talk) 15:24, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
@Vibhss: 1) actually i have had the same problem while using more than one phone (3 to be exact) .
2) This could be due to a slow internet connection but do you think that the majority of the people who view wikipedia or at least search for the indian states have a good internet connection? ( i think they dont, especially for the indian states) if they dont (and a slow connection is really the cause of this problem) then for the majority of the people viewing those webpages the pie charts make no sense and should be replaced by a better format. I dont understand why you consider pie charts to be so sacred( you referred to my changing them to bar boxes as a drastic change)
3) it could be that most of the experienced editors only view wikipedia on their laptops ( as you said , it has fewer glitches) or have a good internet connection.
4) Even before my laptop broke down i rarely used it to view wikipedia( though i would've preferred to edit on it) and that is true for many people i know. Smartphones are the most popular way to use the internet around the world so more attention should be given to the mobile site and app( like using a format compatible with the mobile site)
5) Sorry for not rounding off the numbers properly. I'll try to not make this mistake again.
6) these were my first few edits and i did'nt know how to use the talk. It was by chance that i found a barbox in the article of telangana and i copied it, changing the title and percentages afterwards.Ankur Bhandari (talk) 19:14, 4 November 2017 (UTC)
