Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Benny Dayal, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bang Bang. Which gadget did you use to create Draft talk:PubGoa? I might want to use it myself. --I dream of horses (Contribs) Please notify me after replying off my talk page. Thank you. 13:15, 16 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Thanks I dream of horses for asking, today only I have researched about adding these tags. Sharing the steps below:
  1. Goto any draft, for example - https://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Draft:PubGoa
  2. Scroll down at the end of the page. In the Yellow review box, goto Improving your odds of a speedy review and click on show link
  3. Then click on Add tags to your draft button
  4. It will open a different page, Enter draft page title: including draft:
  5. Enter relevant WikiProjects Tags Select WikiProjects to tag with
  6. Lastly, click on Add selected WikiProjects Tags. That's it :)
Please refer to this Wikilink as well - https://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject#Finding_a_project
For me, PubGoa is the web series & the closest tag was Film & India. Do check yours. Let me know for any assistance.

Speedy deletion nomination of PubGoa

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on PubGoa requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.mymovierack.com/pubgoa/season/1. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. 1. Start-class to C Class (work in progress)
  2. Will definitely check for Copy Violation next time onwards (tool bookmarked on the browser)
  3. Will try to add plot/synopsis in own words
If you have any materials to read on, please pass it to me.

edit

Your edit to Paurashpur has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously, and persistent violators of our copyright policy will be blocked from editing. See Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources for more information. DO NOT COPY AND PASTE. You've done it again on Paurashpur after the previous one had to be revision deleted because you copied the text. You CANNOT DO THAT. You MUST completely rewrite the text, not just change a few words here and there, it must be completely in your own words. No more copy-paste, it's a really good way to end up blocked. Ravensfire (talk) 14:22, 13 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

I know you also copied the episode text from another site - please rewrite all of those. Ravensfire (talk) 14:31, 13 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
Hi Ravensfire, thank you for addressing the copyright issues. I do agree that many of the content was placed with the help of copy and paste. And apologizing that it will not be happening again. I will do the in-depth research and then once confident, will write it in my own words. There are 2 things which I would like to highlight:
  1. Second version of plot content was not showing on the Copyvio tool, that's why I did gave it a try -> https://copyvios.toolforge.org/?lang=en&project=wikipedia&title=Paurashpur&oldid=1000074439&action=search&use_engine=1&use_links=1&turnitin=0
  2. You have unintentionally removed Milind Soman from cast whose character name is Boris (role of transgender)
--VKG1985 (Talk | E-Mail | Contrib) 14:52, 13 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
VKG1985, it's really obvious that you copied and pasted the plot from here. It doesn't matter if the copyvio tool spots it or not, you can't do that. Thinking that if a check doesn't find it means you can get away with it is really scary, to be honest. It suggests that you can't be trusted to follow Wikipedia's policies if you think you can get away with breaking them. That's not good. Think on it. Ravensfire (talk) 15:08, 13 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
If you want a page specific check - see [1]. Again, no more copy-pasting. Ravensfire (talk) 15:13, 13 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
Very true Ravensfire, trust is what it needs & I will definitely follow Wikipedia's Policies (read many pages & it is still in progress). NO SECOND THOUGHTS ON THIS. Also thanks for showing me how tools work so Grammarly & Copyvio Detector will improvise me further. I would be happier if you can monitor my activities further & address incorrect activities. I will be more than happy to follow it.

COI

edit

Hello VKG1985. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Vikram Gaikwad, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:VKG1985. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=VKG1985|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. GreaterPonce665 (TALK) 00:38, 19 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi GreaterPonce665, I am not directly or indirectly compensated for the edits. Explanation, I have already received one COI awareness message from Deb more than a month ago. I have read the Conflict of Interest & Paid Policies twice. And to be on a positive side (little proud of) that I am not engaged in such things which are against the Wikipedia Policies. Agreed that my edits on Vikram Gaikwad article without references is questionable & I was also thinking of it because I have added only 2 references. That person is a make-up artist & it is very difficult to find notable articles on the internet. Also agree that I have added some of the data from his IMDb page as well. So next time I will definitely take care of it that strong & full proof edit is required. Meanwhile, if you think that my edits are not good then please undo it on that page. I will contribute if I get something concrete. -- VKG1985 (Talk | E-Mail | Contrib) 07:55, 19 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
Hi GreaterPonce665, I have read WP:GNG section which was added as a comment on Vikram Gaikwad and it says about significant coverage. Thanks for addressing it. I am undoing my changes. Let me know your thoughts. --VKG1985 (Talk | E-Mail | Contrib) 12:53, 20 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thanks Contrib, would you also please clarify why you are writing page on this subject? Do you know her? Nomadicghumakkad (talk) 15:26, 30 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thanks Nomadicghumakkad for asking,
Question 1: would you also please clarify why you are writing a page on this subject?
  • I have written movies and web series related articles now was looking for biography related articles to create.
  • I do read newspapers/e-papers & came across a few news article about Nykaa & Falguni Nayar
  • Checked Nykaa & contributed to that article on 24 May 2021 & 22 June 2021
  • Was checking Falguni Nayar's page & found that it was in Draft mode
  • Earlier when I was writing about Malaysia to Amnesia article, that time I got to know from live chat help that if the article is in draft then anyone can edit it. Though my contribution was rejected because of low reliable sources.
  • Since Falguni Nayar's page was in the draft & a neutral point of view was an issue, therefore, I attempt for an edit.
  • That draft was too long & read Manual of Style/Biography and relate to the comments of all the experienced Wikipedian
  • Again tried my best to be constructive
Question 2: Do you know her?
  • NO, I don't know her directly or indirectly
  • On 8 December 2020, I got a message from Wikipedian Deb about Conflict of Interest which is one of the pillars of Wikipedia. And I do comply with all the terms of Wikipedia. Therefore, trying my best to contribute -- VKG1985 (Talk | E-Mail | Contrib) 07:47, 1 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for a detailed explanation VKG1985. I will look at it later and see if there are any more fixes needed before mainspace. Nomadicghumakkad (talk) 09:09, 1 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

VKG1985, this has improved a lot from npov perspective. I was about to accept it but then I noticed something. Falguni Nayar married Sanjay Nayar in the year 1987. The corresponding source [2] cited doesn't say 1987. All information needs to be verified. I have found this source that you can use [3]. Please do one more check that all information is sourced appropriately. For example, Nayar worked as a consultant in the management consulting company A F Ferguson & Co. Doesn't cite any source. In 2005, she was appointed as managing director of the company and exited in 2012 the organisation with the same post. Doesn't cite any sources. Also, if you included sources that don't contribute to verifying any information or notability, remove them please. Nomadicghumakkad (talk) 03:26, 2 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
Thanks Nomadicghumakkad, actually I read about her but missed adding the citations. Thanks for addressing those. I have worked on the article and added reliable sources. And have checked that all the sentences are backed up with citations. Kindly check again and let me know of any changes.
Hi VKG1985 , I have accepted the article. I still feel it reads CVish and can use improvement. Nomadicghumakkad (talk) 08:11, 10 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Breakpoint (web series 2021) moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Breakpoint (web series 2021), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Thanks Pillechan, for addressing the changes, let me work on it again & expand article with reliable sources. --VKG1985 (Talk | E-Mail | Contrib) 05:17, 4 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

About Break Point (2021)

edit

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Break Point (2021) a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Draft:Breakpoint (web series 2021). This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Pillechan (പിള്ളേച്ചനോട് പറ) 22:13, 3 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thanks Pillechan for detailing & noted. --VKG1985 (Talk | E-Mail | Contrib) 05:20, 4 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

As previously advised, your edits, such as the edit you made to Praveen Khandelwal, give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:VKG1985, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=VKG1985|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Replaceable fair use File:Praveen Khandelwal individual, secretary general of CAIT.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Praveen Khandelwal individual, secretary general of CAIT.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 16:44, 17 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Ouch!!! Hi Robert McClenon, I do read newspapers & through which I got to know about this company. So thought about writing an article. While checking for availability, it was redirected to another page. Then checked with the live support team, they suggested that if you have good reliable sources then do not worry and you may work on it. Submit it via AfC & everything else will be taken care of. So I started working on it & submitted it for approval. Just now I got to know that this article is already deleted & checked the comments of other Wikipedians as well. The result was deleted. My further research, HarrietFEvans created an entire article on one go with an inappropriate manual of style. And on his user page, he declared his connection publicly.
My thoughts, if I would be aware of these things earlier then, I would not step into it. Even live support has helped then this was not the outcome. My article is well researched and constructive with step by step details (check history of it). To be straight, I am not connected to the subject & there is no such Conflict of Interest. Rest is up to you. -- VKG1985 (Talk | E-Mail | Contrib) 08:15, 25 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thank you Robert McClenon for addressing. I will update this article once it is released so that reviews and other sections can be added. Also, would like to address that there are articles that are too soon or unreleased, however, they are live. Example: Love Hostel Movie which will be released on 25 Feb 2022 and it was created on 1 August 2021. What shall we do in this case? VKG1985 (Talk | E-Mail | Contrib) 05:40, 14 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thanks Robert McClenon, I have re-submitted the Mithya web series with reliable sources and reviews. Regarding the Love Hostel movie, many are in favour to keep the article as the release is nearby. Hello VKG1985. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Wellness Forever, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements.

In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. scope_creepTalk 06:27, 26 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Ek Chup

edit

The article Ek Chup has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Appears to fail WP:NFILM. No reviews found in a BEFORE.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Non-free rationale for File:Crashh-web-series-poster1.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Crashh-web-series-poster1.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Ирука13 13:55, 22 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi AlphaBetaGamma, I have taken help through the live chatroom and got to know from Wikipedian Jeske|Laptop. He helped me to identify with all the reliable sources out of which all the Forbes articles were correct. One article is printed on 15 Dec 2022 edition and another article is printed on 6 May 2022. The third Forbes article is an extended/spun version from the same author/journalist without print. However, it was fact-checked and eligible. If possible please assist me as I can view all the Forbes are verified. -- VKG1985 (Talk | E-Mail | Contrib) 18:06, 12 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your contributions to Ravi Modi. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it is promotional and reads like an advertisement and WP:NORESUMES. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

September 2024

edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on CK Birla Group. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Daniel Quinlan (talk) 17:17, 21 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
