Kouta Hirano
I'm going to change all the redirects on the main Hellsing page to Kouta Hirano, his true name. The "Kohta Hirano" page should be redirecting to Kouta Hirano, not the other way around. His birth name is not "Kohta," this is an incorrect Romanization brought about by the English release of Hellsing. Virtually all Japanese Hirano releases use the "Kouta" spelling (e.g. the original Hellsing tankoubons, Hi-Tension, Angel Dust, HIANDLOW, Susume, etc.), along with Hirano himself when autographing things. If you'd like proof of this, I have pictures.
Furthermore, I modified the page with additional pertinent information to the mangaka and his history, not just nixing the redirect. So, please stop altering valid and factual corrections/additions to the Kouta Hirano page. Thank you.
P.S. In a minute, I'll be adding a headshot.

My "vandalism"
I'm sorry... I was trying to remove some nasty pictures that were put in this article... But I did'nt knew how to revert changes. So I decided to delete mature content and then paste a "historical" version. And you caught me in the middle of this action... Sorry for the problem.
Oh. Giving "the last warning" to a person which was trying to repair something is a good metod to kill all new activity in wiki.... :( 194.63.135.8
- No problem. Sorry if you took offense at the "warning" - it's a standard template. I've posted a welcome on your talk page. Tawker 22:26, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
- Oh.. I'm not feeling offended. I'm rather newbie in editing wikipedia so I didn't knew that. Thanks :)194.63.135.8

Admin offer
Thank you for your note on my User page. Others have suggested that I become an admin, and offered to nominate me as well. I have considered it -- and may seek to become an admin in the future. However, my time on Wiki is increasingly limited and it would be quite selfish to become an admin simply for my own convenience. Again thank you -- and I will let you know if an RFA with my name on it pops up. Best wishes. WBardwin 22:28, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
Why did you remove my edit??
what was wrong with my edit?? what was POV about them??
I used the following sources for my edits, mostly with little edits:
Library of Congress - Country Study: Sri Lanka
http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/History_of_Sri_Lanka
are you saying that they are wrong??
I mean on this article http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Sri_Lanka
Excuse me?
No sooner than I archived a discussion page as per agreement among that page's contributors, you restored the page. Four days ago, I suggested we archive it before Infinite Crisis#5 comes out this week. Motion was seconded. We gave everybody time to see the suggestion. Not one person objected. On the assumption that you mistook that for vandalism, I will attempt it one more time.Wryspy 07:12, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
No problem. Actually, I was impressed by how quickly the change was noticed, regardless of the error in interpretation. Keep on truckin'.Wryspy 07:21, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
Warning templates
You threatened to block me for one bad edit in 24 hours which is the truth . You are not an administrator. Get a better handle on warning templates WP:RCP.--196.40.43.218 08:03, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
- WP:CIVIL even with vandals maddening though they may be. I will have no more temper fits with any editor admin (which he is) or non admins.--196.40.43.218 08:15, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
- You didn't offend me. I was just reminding of WP:CIVIL which is always a good idea. Personally I have got a gripe with the dude I took out my frustration on but think I will take it up on his talk from now on. Btw saw an rfa candidate have a hard time over a joke new message box like yours but personally I think it was a good laugh when I opened yours. Green Party
Yeah, I was not being precise when I said the green party web site. It could have been taken from the Living Policy site which would make it more innapropriate since it would not even be official GPC policy. 70.29.200.164 08:34, 11 February 2006 (UTC)

Great job keeping Wikipedia clean, keep it up.

I am having stupid messages that "Your message is not being posted due to a loss of session data", so I am having to cut and paste the complete message board (which consists of one single template before I began posting). Your revert on Gordon Campbell
Was your revert of my edit (which added the word "partly") a mistake? If you put up an NPOV banner, you probabaly shouldn't revert edits intended to solve your problem! --Colle|File:Locatecolle.gif|Talk-- 05:41, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
Vandalise a page?
Look at the list of contribs [2] - there's no vandalism there. You must have a pretty strange view of what vandalism is if you think that any of that was vandalism.
This is User:Zordrac here by the way. And when I used User:Internodeuser I was regularly accused of vandalism, yet even when they figured out that not a single edit was vandalism, there was no apology. Does that label follow me everywhere now, just because of some bad admin decisions? 203.122.215.180 05:45, 12 February 2006 (UTC)

Gordon Campbell
Hi Tawker. Thank you for your assistance on the Gordon Campbell page. I would respectfully request that you review the changes made in my edit versus the previous version(s). There were many factual inaccuracies and strong POV in the old versions. I understand politics can make some folks go a little crazy, but I just want the facts to be clear without POV and in this article they are not. All the best to you in future! Bot
See my comment at the page you cite. A discussion between a few editors, in which a number of people were ignored who pointed out that warning should be given (or an informative edit summary at the very least), and more general discussion instigated, doesn't justify this kind of massive change by a bot. Any editor is perfectly justified in reverting your changes, which are in line with neither Wikipedia policy nor Wikipedia guidelines, but are simply the result of a decision made almost casually by a few editors. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 13:47, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
- Well, how many editors have Bot requests on their Watchlists? I agree that there's no one place that notice should have been given (and requests for discussion made), but my point is that as this affects a very large number of articles (and editors), the attempt should have been made, using a number of pages (the Village Pump, for example; perhaps the images in question could have been put up for deletion (that would probably have reached the largest number of interested editors). The problem is exacerbated by the fact that the discussion at the Wikiproject Talk page didn't even attempt to find consensus among those participating; those who registered objections, or called for wider consultation, were simply ignored.
- That isn't your responsibility, of course, and I hope that I don't appear to be attacking you. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 14:25, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
- I've little (no) experience with bots, so went to the place with which I was most familiar. I'll know in future. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 14:39, 18 February 2006 (UTC)
I used individual rollback on the ones that I reverted (by no means all), because I didn't want to risk reverting anything else that the bot had been used for. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 17:59, 18 February 2006 (UTC)

Hello, Tawker. As the original author of the essay, I feel that the original title reflects what I wanted to say more appropriately, that is why I have reverted User:Georgia Guy's move of the page. Why are you moving it back? -- Avi 04:56, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
- Hi, sorrry about that, I was thinking localizing it to Google might bring some issues from other search engines regarding their service in comparision to Google. I'm leaving it alone now. Sorry about that. Tawker 04:59, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
Thank you. That was Georgia Guy's point as well; and if this becomes official policy (as if it ever would ;) ) I could understand that. However, as an opinion piece similar to WP:VSCA, I believe that is OK. Do you really think Alta Vista or Yahoo! would complain about this? :) -- Avi 05:02, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
Regex
to prevent substing when somebody is explaining how to use a template:
- replace:
<nowiki>(.*?){{(.*?)}}(.*?)</nowiki>
- with:
\1{{\2}}\3
to cleanup a case where some bot has attempted to subst an unspecified template parameter:
- replace:
{{subst\:{(.*?)}}}
- with: nothing
to prevent substing within an html comment and undo previous errant attempts to subst it:
- replace:
<!\-\-(.*?){{([Ss]ubst:|[Tt]emplate:|[Mm]sg:)*?(.*?)}}(.*?)\-\->
- with:
<!--\1Template:\3\4-->
to remove some cruft from templates that use a default parameter:
- replace:
{{{(.*?)\|(.*?)}}}
- with:
\2
Do all of these replacements before attempting to subst actual templates. — Feb. 21, '06 [22:27] <freakofnurxture|talk>

Talk pages
I am confused. A discussion I was involved in was deleted from talk:David Irving by saying wikipedia is not a discussion board and other similar discussions were removed because they were 'irrelevant' etc. So I figured talk pages were strictly for on-topic discussion (only discussion that helps improve the article). Is there info somewhere on exactly where the line goes? Thank you in advance. --PredatorOC

New information concerning proposed deletion
On February 20th you cast a "delete" vote: "copyvio + non-notable" at Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Brian_Wowk. The original article on Dr. Wowk was lifted from another website by User:Cardsplayer4life. If you revisit Brian Wowk and see my notes on the deletion page, you will see that the page has now been re-written. Thus, the copyvio objection is no longer valid. Also, I have presented considerable evidence that Dr Wowk is very notable, in the re-written article itself and in the last section of Talk:Brian Wowk. I request that you reconsider your vote in light of the fact that the article has been re-written and that substantial evidence of notability has now been provided. --Ben Best 15:57, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
- You wrote:"Thanks for the re-write, it looks a lot better than the previous one. I have changed by AfD vote accordingly"
- This change is appreciated, however, the way you expressed it was somewhat obscure -- a strikeout looks like vandalism without checking the history log. If you could change your vote to "keep", it would be appreciated. Certainly, there are no grounds for copyvio with the re-write, and the documentation of Dr. Wowk's recognition by others is extensive. --Ben Best 23:01, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
- MY MISTAKE, YOU DID WRITE KEEP AT THE BOTTOM. THANK YOU !!--Ben Best 23:04, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

I just hate bots. Dan 01:35, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
Hi. I no longer am User:Ariele. There's no need to revert. The account is under the somebody else's control.
With apologies for the impersonal AWB-ness of the message... Thanks for your support on my recent request for adminship. It passed at 91/1/0, and I hope I can continue to deserve the community's trust. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help you, and if I make a mistake be sure to tell me. My talk page is always open. (ESkog)(Talk) 02:40, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
Hi, I found an image uploaded by me tagged. Please instruct me how I can add source information. Thanks for pointing out the omission. Saksham 02:44, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
User:Ariele
We noticed you've been reverting the former user page back and forth after the original account holder cleaned it up for anyone to use. We do not understand your behavior. Is it your intention to keep Ariele's identity intact?
subst:bot
um yeah, your bot seems to be subst:ing templates that are inside of <no wiki> brackets, should it be doing that? Seeing as how it's replacing a non template, such as {{test2}}, with the actual content of template:test2, only inside of a pair of no wiki brackets--205.188.117.11 04:38, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
{{AfD}}
Especially since people sometimes create headers like this one, only they get turned into.. =={{AfD}}==Can't really reply personally to an AOL IP so I'll reply here. I've been working on some regex's to catch only the template and hopefully not include the nowiki content. It's tricky to prevent it from happening and there is no way I or anyone else here would want to do that task by hand (28,000 instances of welcome alone that needed to be subst'ed -- Tawker 05:26, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
- replaceExceptNowikiAndComments in wikipedia.py looks to be made for exactly this problem. (On the other hand, I don't actually run pywikipedia myself, and the installation of pywikipedia that I'm looking at is several months old.) —Cryptic (talk) 15:28, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
- I did a CVS update before running this job, I'll look into it and possibly file a bug request. Tawker 18:27, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for your vote on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sean Heber. If you have time could you find a link to the post on slashdot of digg, as nto everything posted there is necesarily notable. Also note that there are three articles listed here, so you might want to quantitize your vote to "weak keep all" or "weak keep after merging". Cheers, —Ruud 22:15, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
My Bot
I am and will keep a special eye out to make sure I don't replace regional spellings. As my bot will be user-assisted at all times (as no spell check bot is 100% accurate), and I will be frequently monitoring for feedback, there should be no friction. Thanks for the warning. JoeSmack Talk 00:53, 25 February 2006 (UTC)==My alleged vandalism==
Where is this supposed "vandalism"? And why do I get redirected to "practical joke" when it says "new messages"?
You can find evidence from the 9/11 truth movement--I'm taking that if I cite them, that will be legitimate?
How do I make a User template for Anti-American??
I was looking at how to create user template {babels} about political opinions.Although I found out about how to show I support the US how do I add a template to indicate I dont support America? If there isnt such a template please add one.
- Well, I'm not going to add one as per the userbox "issue" debate as I think such a userbox would be seen as an attack on our many American based editors. Tawker 05:02, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
The short answer is, you shouldn't. We're building an encyclopedia here, not attacking other editors. I can pretty much guarantee that any anti-(any country) userbox is going to be deleted within hours of its creation under T1. --Cyde Weys 05:44, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:Asia minor roman power.jpg
- Thanks for your message, but please read the courtesy statement (as per Wikipedia:Public_domain_resources#History) on the upload page, before you tag a file as violation of copyright next time. It is public domain. I changed the tag accordingly. Ben T/C 05:37, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
- I should have tagged it properly in the first place. So, thanks for your message. Ben T/C 05:47, 25 February 2006 (UTC)

Why would you from Canada return the page about Kosovo from an ultra-nationalistic Albanian point of view. What do you know about Kosovo
Wow, you really don't know what I'm talking about. I'm complaining about the page about Kosovo. I thought, but maybe I was wrong, that you put the old version of the page which is sooo biased.
Regex for test templates
Hey Tawker. Per our discussion on IRC, this is a regex pattern that will match most or all test templates. Specifically, it matches selftest, test-n, test2-n, test2a, test2a-n, test2b, test3-n, test4a, test4-n, test, test0, test1, test2, test2a, test3, test4, test5, and test6, and takes into account the use of deprecated syntax {{msg:test}} and {{template:test}}. It also matches any parameter or parameters. It won't match similar templates that might be subst-averse.

Replace:
I suggest you watch the first few edits to make sure the regex is working correctly, but it works properly in my tests. // Pathoschild (admin / talk) 00:45, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

Vandalism with you as target
Hi Tawker- I just reverted some vandalism on the Raymond Samuels article for deletion page- it was all about "you" (whether the real you or not, who knows), just wanted to let you know. Don't know if it's freaking you ot or not, but if you ever need his home address and phone for the police I have access to it. I might go to the police myself (I'm not freaked out, but he's been slandering me and has placed my home phone number in usenet sex groups and in my opinion that crosses the line) but not for a few days, so if you do make a complaint you won't be alone.
