Speedy deletion nomination of Thomas Martin (footballer)
editYou may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
A tag has been placed on Thomas Martin (footballer) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about it should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you can assert the notability of the subject, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
See the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies. FlowerpotmaN·(t) 23:26, 7 May 2011 (UTC)

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a search with the contents of List of Scottish football transfers summer 2013, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: List of Scottish football transfers summer 2012. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. MadmanBot (talk) 22:45, 18 June 2013 (UTC)

Season Articles
editAre you planning on updating these season articles you are creating yourself. As me and Duck updated and created most of the last few years we decided to stop doing it this year and from experience unless the editor that created them updates them they very rarely are.Blethering Scot 21:13, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
- This is exactly what i meant when i asked you if you were going to update these pages. Im taking the state of this article as a no. Unless you have the time to update these from now until the end of the season then there is no point in you creating a mass of incomplete articles.Blethering Scot 20:20, 29 July 2013 (UTC)
- Apologies, i'll keep these pages up to date with results and the other statistics.Tam1hibs (talk) 07:59, 31 July 2013 (UTC)

editHello, I'm Blethering Scot. I noticed that you made a change to an article, 2013–14 Hibernian F.C. season, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! The article List of foreign Scottish Premiership players has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Dubious notability & League has not started and their are no players this would even apply to. Hence a empty article.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Blethering Scot 21:31, 30 July 2013 (UTC)

Invite to the African Destubathon
editHi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:13, 6 October 2016 (UTC)

Central Girls Football Academy
editHello Tam1hibs
the above page has been nominated for deletion
Central Girls Football Academy have recently gained promotion to the 2nd tier of women's football in Scotland. Many people follow them and they are doing great work getting young girls involved in the sport. Many people are interested in them here in scotland but there is not a lot of information available online. I think this article is of genuine help to Wikipedia.
the deletion conversation is here: https://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Central_Girls_Football_Academy
Is there any chance you could offer your support?
Thanks
