editWelcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 13:10, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 13:27, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
Please do not add inappropriate external links, as you did with this edit to Incandescent light bulb. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. Favonian (talk) 14:25, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
Page moves
editWhen moving pages (such as Convection heater) it's best to do this using the page move feature, rather than copying & pasting their content. This preserves the edit history, which is valuable. You can do this yourself, even when the target page exists (so long as it's just a redirect to the other page). If you can't do it past an existing page, in some cases you may need to be an admin, then there are templates to request such a move to be done.
No problem here, as the page is so small, but for a big page with a complex history, it is important to preserve it. Andy Dingley (talk) 11:48, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
Hi Taka76. So what's the deal with this edit? Why doesn't Samsonite belong, for instance? You didn't use an edit summary so I'm not sure of your thinking here... Herostratus (talk) 03:25, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
