File source problem with File:Agusta-Bell 205A Huey CN-AKS.jpg

edit

Thank you for uploading File:Agusta-Bell 205A Huey CN-AKS.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Speedy deletion nomination of File:Agusta-Bell 205A Huey CN-AKS.jpg

edit

A tag has been placed on File:Agusta-Bell 205A Huey CN-AKS.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Speedy deletion nomination of File:ChinookRMAF.jpg

edit

A tag has been placed on File:ChinookRMAF.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.

Royal Moroccan Army page

edit

I removed your recent edits. Please see the talk page and my previous edit summaries before adding these things again... - Jonathon A H (talk) 05:21, 29 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Reverted. Again. Please see the talk page before you keep adding these same things over and over again. I'll keep removing them until the points mentioned on the Moroccan Army talk page are addressed. - Jonathon A H (talk) 13:45, 17 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
I replied to your response on my page, but just to make sure you see it...
I'm afraid speculative sales documents are trumped by US law. Please see the DSCA Arms Sales Notifications (The Defense Security Cooperation Agency - an official US Government site). Congress must be notified about any pending arms sales, and they must be approved before the sale is finalized. Please check the record - no such request has been made. Morocco has purchased or investigated purchasing radars, missiles, helicopters, or other miscellaneous aircraft from the US in recent years, but no M1s. And again, you're going off of one speculative sales document - where are the defense news agencies on this one? None of them have announced this sale. None. Don't you find that kind of odd? Even the regular news agencies don't have a whiff of this one. Please think this one through... - Jonathon A H (talk) 14:39, 18 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
Furthermore, what you're proposing is an Edit war, and I don't want that. If it comes to it, I'm quite willing to bring in outside moderation to rule on this as per Wikipedia guidelines. So lets settle it here, eh? Also, even if Morocco wants to buy M1s, and again, there's nothing other than one speculative document from the US, they don't have have them yet. They don't belong in a list of current holdings. - Jonathon A H (talk) 14:45, 18 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
I replied to your most recent reply on my page. Once again, continue this course of action, and I'll have no choice but to report this as an edit war. Please see WP:EW for more information. - Jonathon A H (talk) 20:30, 18 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
Given your history, Tabrisius, I will give you one warning. Any more reverts on the Moroccan Army page without discussion will result in a block. What you should both be doing is crafting some text to explain the situation - 'The Moroccan ARmy has been requesting the procurement of X vehicles from the USA since ..', not reverting and reverting a one line entry.' Buckshot06 (talk) 21:38, 12 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
==CAREFUL!!==

With this edit, you removed referenced information about units and exercises. BE CAREFUL - I do not spend hours looking things up in order to have people remove data!! Buckshot06 (talk) 15:59, 13 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Lol! Are you kidding me? there's no reference in the hole original text, even more, there are some infoxication like this:

The T-72BVs are in service with a brigade which is called the 'Russian brigade' with which the material Russian is in use (AT-11 amongst others). The brigade is stationed in part near the Algerian frontier, and may be designated the '6eme BRB'.[citation needed]

And I edit all the hole text to make it clearer, with more Citations and References, with argumented texts, etc. Remember: I am Tabrisius, not Jonathon A H. I'm how are taking care of removing vandalism from this page, who try to find all the references needed to express and say what is the real RMAF. Do you know what I added? IT WAS ME who added referenced information about units and exercises!!! look it carefully!!

Morocco has also been the venue for Exercise "Jebel Sahara" since September 2002, gathering elements from 33 Squadron, 230 Squadron, 18 Squadron, 27 Squadron, Joint Helicopter Force HQ from RAF Benson, 1st Battalion Royal Gibraltar Regiment and 2nd Battalion Infanterie Parachutisme of the Royal Moroccan Army. The aim of the Exercise was to increase the Support Helicopter warfighting capability in desert ‘hot and high' conditions and foster good relations between the UK and Morocco. To achieve this, the scenario consisted of a joint counter insurgency operation in the desert and mountain foothills to re-establish control and authority within a troubled region of North Africa.

The Royal Armed Forces also take part of diferent international exercises as Leapfest [1], Flintlock [2], Blue Sand [3], and occasional military operations exercises with Belgium, U.A.E., Spain, France and others.

When I took care of this page, i tried all the tijme to be serious, so, you can always see the history page and see how and who changed everything and how it was before i take careof it.

I see what you did, and that is better than erasing everything, so thanx.

The reference I was talking about, which you can see, was regarding the Royal Gibraltar REgiment exercise - 'African Adventure,' Air International, January 2009, p.58. This references the important information that we may be talking about a para bde or a para bn. Do you understand what I mean? Buckshot06 (talk) 23:20, 14 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
Yes I understand, but the exercises with the British Army (so, Gibrlatar Regiment) is the Jebel Sahara Exercises, I found more info about, thats why I erased the "Gibraltar regiment exercise" for "Jebel Sahara exercises" with other formulation taking the info from here: [4] (RAF official web), as you can see here [5] we are talkin about the same exercises, Thats why I erased in detriment of a more generic text, changing "exercises with Gibraltar Regiment" for "Jebel Sahara exercises", now we have text is repetitive. I don't want to erase or change something before make you understand why, you can change it by yourself. I hope you understand it now. Thanks. Tabrisius (talk) 11:59, 15 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
The first problem with that was that no reference was provided in the statement about the JHF and the squadrons you mentioned. The second problem was that you deleted relevant, referenced, text, independent of the Royal Air Force press releases. The third, as I said, was that there were two different reports on the size of the cooperating unit - a brigade or a battalion. We should keep all reports until we know whether that parachute organisation is a brigade or a battalion, and in general, please, NEVER delete referenced information on obscure armies such as Morocco. Every piece of data has its place and may build together into better analysis later on. Kind regards Buckshot06 (talk) 12:16, 15 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Edit warring at Royal Moroccan Army

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring, as you did at Royal Moroccan Army. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.

Request reason:

Please dear administrator, I'm not taking too much time from you, I just want to make understand that in this case I tried my best to arrange this matter without talking to an admin, and if you still think that it was my fault or that I deserve more do as you think right. Please read Talk page to read the reasons of the editing. I've been taking care of the Moroccan Armed Forces pages for years and I discussed matters with other people, and I know perfectly the rules, and this time one of my editions was permanently reverted by Tachfin (see his talk page to know that it's not the first time) wich started reverting sourced information based in a reliable sources, commiting him the 3RR violation first...please read: https://en.wiki.x.io/w/index.php?title=Royal_Moroccan_Army&action=history . I always try to deal with people without talking to an Admin. As you can see in talk page, the others edition were unfounded, with no basis and even insulting, I took time to make him understand that he was wrong, I even tried to ask for a third party involvement as Wikipiedia ask us to do, then I asked for a vandalism violation in Wikipedia:Administrator_intervention_against_vandalism#User-reported because of him reverting sourced information without no reason, but was sent to 3RR page were Tacfin already put me in the list. When I warned him to stop editing because I was going to contact a mod he said that i was threating him [sic], and acting as a victim as you can read in talk page, and when I copy-paste him the sources (even from declassified CIA documents) he said that they werent reliable source or that the info wasn't correct. I'm sorry for all this, but really, after all this years, I'm used to people like those, and if I do not take care of it it will happen like in the spanish version https://es.wiki.x.io/wiki/Real_Fuerza_A%C3%A9rea_Marroqu%C3%AD were Moroccan Army has 500 chinooks. This is a topic were a lot of vandals and editing warriors pass their time, and I take the "job" of wikipedia editor very seriously. Thank you for reading Tabrisius (talk) 07:32, 26 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

What you say amounts to a fairly long plea that your edit warring was justified because you were right and the other editor was wrong. However, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring is (roughly speaking) "don't edit war", not "don't edit war unless you believe you are right". Indeed, it would be pointless to have a policy that exempted any editor who believed that he or she was right, because in almost all edit wars everyone involved believes that he or she is right. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 13:01, 26 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Royal Moroccan Army. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Tachfin (talk) 16:46, 27 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

ArbCom elections are now open!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
