- Thanks! I'm not new to the wiki medium and I know all the "rules" already. I also writes in the swedish wikipedia but normally in the largest swedish wiki susning.nu (#4 worldwide) Recent changes @ susning.nu (in swedish ;-) // Solkoll 01:14, 14 Jul 2004 (UTC)
Solkoll - the section on Reverse Julia sets that you added to Julia set look interesting. However, some of your spelling and grammar is a little off - would you mind if I tidied it up sometime ? Also, you might find it useful to use the "Show preview" button when editing - this lets you check the results of an edit before you save the page, so it cuts down on the number of saves that you need to do. Gandalf61 20:10, Jul 15, 2004 (UTC)
- Well I'm swedish, I think that explain my spellings. You are most wellcome to correct and rewrite if it looks a bit odd :-) The large number of saving is explained by the fact that I do not plan my works wery well and also coz my Explorer tends to chrash a couple of times a day (I have lost a load of intresting articles from that). Does it makes any diffrence? one save or five? The end result is the same. // Solkoll 20:47, 15 Jul 2004 (UTC)

- pre-germanska svenskar
- Man måste ju komma ihåg att språkligt inflytande kan ha skett i båda riktningar.
Hälsningar! /Tuomas 09:09, 20 Nov 2004 (UTC)
Homophobic Vandalism
editI have reason to believe that the following are all sockpuppets of each other
User:148.136.141.172, User:Rienzo, User:Baffinisland, User:Lady Tara, User:Nasse
I believe that one of them recently vandalised your user page
if you wish to add evidence to the arbitration against any of them, you can do so at Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Rienzo/Evidence

Thanks for uploading the image
I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use {{gfdl}} if you release it under the GFDL, or {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know where you got the image and I'll tag it for you. Thanks, Kbh3rd 00:49, 13 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Saw your changes to Lévy C curve and Paul Pierre Lévy. Can you explain what your definition of the Lévy dragon curve is, and how it differs from the Lévy C curve ? The only references I can find to the Lévy dragon curve are actually about the Lévy C curve (see here for example). When people refer to a dragon curve without qualification, they always seem to mean the Harter-Heighway dragon curve, which I think has nothing to do with Paul Lévy. I don't mind removing the phrase "also known as the Lévy dragon curve" from the C curve article, but, as far as I know, there is not a separate curve called the Lévy dragon curve. Gandalf61 11:01, Feb 15, 2005 (UTC)
- Thank you for your response on my talk page, and for the illustrations. I have re-read Lévy's original paper "Plane or Space Curves and Surfaces Consisting of Parts Similar to the Whole", and I cannot find any mention of the curve that you are calling the Lévy dragon curve. Lévy presents various general results that apply to any self-similar curve, but the only two 2-D curves that he discusses in detail are the Koch curve and the curve that he refers to as , which we call the Lévy C curve. All his figures show the Lévy C curve. In the copy I have, which is in Gerald Edgar's anthology "Classics on Fractals", Edgar adds commentary in which he refers to Lévy's curve as the Lévy dragon curve, which is another reason why I thought this was just another name for the Lévy C curve. Can you provide any reference that links your Lévy dragon curve to Lévy, or that calls it the Lévy dragon curve ? Gandalf61 11:07, Feb 16, 2005 (UTC)

Unspecified source for Image:Cantor_dust_(3D).gif
editThanks for uploading Image:Cantor_dust_(3D).gif. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 03:19, 16 April 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Kelly hi! 03:19, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

Your account will be renamed
editHello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Solkoll. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Solkoll~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
