Request reason:
It’s all my fault, I’m sorry. I was trying to make a stupid joke because HackerKnownAs was getting sanctioned by a suspicious IP editor sonI thought it would be funny to make a new account (Andthewinnerisme) and pretend like I was another one. I didn’t mean any harm or anything, I just felt so uncomfortable after seeing that someone was looking through my profile and trying to antagonize me, and we thought that person was using sockpuppets to make me feel worse. I was meeting him in person since we recognized each other outside of Discord and had planned to meet up over a week ago, before any of the admin discussion. I can post my proof as well (but it has private information, so it will have to be through something else), and I didn’t think that this could get us both banned. As for Rin6626, that was an account made by a younger friend who knew about the drama and was meeting me too, we didn’t know about this account until much later. Again, I’m really sorry. I deserve the block but I didn’t mean to cause any harm. Please unblock HKA at the very least, he really didn’t do anything wrong and was only trying to defend me.
Decline reason:
You admit you created a sockpuppet account. Although you claim that you didn’t mean any harm
, creating a WP:STRAWSOCK is harmful. Since you are not able to understand what kind of behavior is harmful, and which is not, you should remain blocked. Vanjagenije (talk) 23:33, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- And the two IPs, 12.188.169.2 and 198.136.190.5? How did they get involved? --Malcolmxl5 (talk) 01:40, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
- I don’t know anything about them. There’s a lot of IP accounts that are harassing us, especially HKA. That’s why I made a joke account in the first place. 03:18, 18 November 2024 (UTC)~ SirGallantThe4th (talk) 03:18, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
- If it might explain something, we were using a shared iPhone and laptop that our friends were also using for the whole week. All I know is that one night I decided to use the phone to make the account, and when I woke up everyone who used the phone got banned. But I don’t know anything about those IP accounts. 04:07, 18 November 2024 (UTC)~ SirGallantThe4th (talk) 04:07, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
- As the person that was subjected to the targetting by these socks, I want to say that I find the notion that your friend Rin6626 made the account without any prompting or awareness of it by you both dubious. That you, as a joke apparently, created a blatantly suspicious account and used it to support a siteban of HKA (a stance that I hadn't even taken myself at that time), looks an awful lot less like a joke and more like an orchestrated attempt to get me blocked by giving credence to Rin6626's claims. Brocade River Poems (She/They) 05:17, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
- I said my piece. We had a group of people traveling with us who were aware of the Wikipedia drama but I never prompted anyone directly. The only thing I said about this was that I felt uncomfortable since I felt like I was being harassed by you and other IP editors. I don’t care if you believe me or not, it’s the truth and I can’t control what they do on their own will. ~~ SirGallantThe4th (talk) 07:38, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
